Hello. I'm Jayne, thank you for stopping by to read my profile. I specialise in working with individuals experiencing:
-Anxiety
-Stress
-Worry & Overthinking
-Burnout
-Chronic Illness and Fatigue.
Practice description
My approach
I am an accredited integrative therapist and offer a balanced blend of working with the emotional and practical dimensions of your issues, so that you can apply what we explore in the therapy room in everyday life. I will adapt my approach based on your unique needs and circumstances and support you to build a deeper awareness of patterns of living that have helped you to get through life but may no longer serve who you are now.
Armed with more self-knowledge you can begin to explore how to make more clear, conscious and informed choices, feel more confident and in control of your life. Our work together will support you to learn new ways to create a more purposeful, balanced and sustainable life.
About me
I am down to earth, open to challenge and aim to bring lightness and humour where appropriate so that you can be fully yourself and we can build a collaborative working relationship together. I know how important it is to find a therapist who is the right fit- someone who is professional yet human and just really 'gets it'
Over the years, I have increasingly seen the benefits of working the body- mind connection and the importance of working with you as a 'whole person' I have undergone further training in body based therapy, parts work, nervous system work, mindfulness and compassion focussed therapy approaches, which we can integrate into our work together. This way of working supports you to build a deeper connection and understanding of your own needs, limitations and boundaries.
Welcoming and Working within Diversity
I aim to ensure that I continue to learn and work in an ethical, intersectional and anti-oppressive way and offer LGBTQIA+ allied, Neurodiversity affirming and Culturally responsive therapy.
My first session
I offer a free Introductory call (up to 30 mins)
First session and beyond...
You may have specific areas that you want to work on or things might feel a bit more unclear- both are totally ok. You will lead the direction of the work and decide what is most important to focus on. We will explore how things are affecting you in the present day but sometimes it may be helpful to understand the influence of past experiences and how they have shaped who you are today.
Making sustainable change can take time. Taking small steps and building upon on your strengths will help you to focus on the things that you are already doing to support yourself. This can make a huge difference to how you feel overall.
I offer both short and long term therapy, so there is no time limit to how long you should attend for. We will review our work regularly to ensure that it is heading in the right direction.

About me and my therapy practice
Hi there and thank you for visiting my Supervision profile.
I aim to provide you with a supportive, collaborative and consultative space, so that you can reflect and grow confidently within your clinical practice.
Experience
I originally worked as an external supervisor for the University of St Mark and St John in 2008 supporting students through Masters Level Youth and Community training.
I moved into therapeutic roles in 2009 and qualified as an integrative counsellor in 2014.
I have extensive experience of working in a range of settings including:
- Adult mental health/therapy organisations (including IAPT services)
- Digital/Online Mental Health services for young people and adults
- Schools & Further Education
- Young people's Mental Health/Counselling services.
- Sexual health & Drug and Alcohol charities
- Sexual/Domestic abuse/Violence services
I am sensitive to the systemic aspects and complexities of working with safeguarding and risk through my work with vulnerable adults and young people in frontline organisations.
I provide supervision to both qualified and student counsellors/psychotherapists and other allied health professionals.
Wherever you are at on your journey, I will tailor supervision to meet your needs and consider the context/modality, level of training and ethical framework in which the work is delivered.
Practice description
I hold a Diploma in Supervision and I integrate a range of models including the Hawkins and Shohet 7-eye model as basis of my approach as it recognises the relational and systemic aspects of supervision, which is particularly helpful lens for those working in and alongside organisations.
The work we do in the caring professions can often be emotionally challenging and your wellbeing is of paramount importance and I aim for supervision to have a relational and restorative function.
I may invite practical, creative and mindfulness activities to help you reflect upon and process the work in a more embodied way.
Our work will be considered within an anti-oppressive framework. This means becoming more aware of our own bias so that we can adapt and attend to the impact of power and difference in the therapeutic relationship.
