If I plan to take any extended time away from the practice, I will always inform existing clients with plenty of notice.

About me and my therapy practice

My focus is on supporting you through whatever challenges life has placed in your path.

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming — whether it’s persistent anxiety and stress, feeling disconnected or stuck, carrying the weight of painful past experiences, or struggling to find your place when it feels like others are moving forward with ease. You may find yourself exhausted from putting on a brave face, masking how you truly feel, or battling feelings of self-doubt and comparison that make it hard to express your needs and set healthy boundaries.

I bring over 14 years of counselling experience to my work, offering a compassionate, down-to-earth space where you can explore what’s been holding you back without fear of judgement. I work with young people and adults alike — supporting those who have never felt truly seen, individuals questioning their worth or direction, couples navigating relationship challenges, and clients facing the lingering impact of adverse childhood experiences.

My journey through challenging childhood experiences and anxiety has deeply shaped the counsellor I am today. I understand the courage it takes to reach out for help and the impact mental health struggles can have on our ability to cope, connect, and see clearly. My approach is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and a belief that real change begins with awareness. Together, we will not only build a deeper understanding of your experiences but also focus on taking meaningful action from that awareness, moving you towards a more confident, connected, and empowered life.

My sessions aren’t about stiff, clinical conversations — they’re about creating a space where you can be unapologetically yourself.

Practice description

If you are feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, or simply not yourself, counselling can offer a space to pause and make sense of what’s going on. I am a qualified accredited counsellor offering professional, confidential counselling for adults, young people (12+) and couples.

I work from my private practice in Woodley, Berkshire, offering in-person counselling, as well as online therapy. Many of the people I work with are professionals who appear to be coping on the outside, while feeling stressed, disconnected or low underneath.

Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, especially if you’re used to managing alone. From your first contact, I aim to make things feel straightforward and supportive. I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation so you can ask questions and get a sense of whether I am the right counsellor for you.

My approach is Humanistic Integrative counselling, which means sessions are shaped around you, not a fixed model. I place strong importance on building a trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel safe enough to talk honestly. Alongside warmth and empathy, I offer gentle challenge and reflection to help you gain clarity, understand patterns and create meaningful change.

Clients often tell me therapy feels natural and conversational rather than clinical. You’re welcome to bring anxiety, stress, low mood, self-doubt, relationship struggles or a sense of being stuck. Together, we explore both what’s happening now and the deeper experiences influencing how you feel and relate.

I am currently welcoming new enquiries and offer flexible daytime and evening appointments to fit around busy lives.

My first session

Before arranging a first session, I offer a free 15-minute telephone conversation. This gives you the opportunity to briefly share what’s brought you to counselling, ask any questions, and get a sense of whether working together feels right for you — or for your child, if you are enquiring on their behalf.

The first full counselling session is charged at the usual session rate. There is no assessment, pressure or expectation to talk in a particular way. Many people use their first session to simply offload or “spill out” what has been building up — thoughts or feelings that may have felt too overwhelming, confusing or difficult to voice before. This is completely welcome.

These are your sessions, and you remain in control of what you bring, how much you share, and the pace we work at. My role is to provide a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can be yourself and begin to feel understood.

During the first session, we will start to explore what’s going on for you and what you’re hoping for from counselling. This helps us build a shared understanding and consider how therapy might support you moving forward. We go at your pace, with no obligation to commit beyond the session itself.
