About me and my therapy practice
Therapy for Mothers
If you are here you are somewhere on your journey to or in the midst of motherhood. Welcome. This space is for you.
Motherhood can be exhausting, messy, beautiful, confusing, full of love, triggering, and overwhelming. Sometimes all on the same day! It’s not something we’re meant to just 'bounce back' from or just get on with.
We need time. We need space. We need tools, support, and compassion to find ourselves within the wild ride of becoming and being a mother.
Holding the Mother sessions are here to support you as you integrate, process, heal, and come home to yourself in this new chapter of your life.
I offer pregnancy therapy, matrescence therapy and also stand alone sessions to help you process your birth story.
Sessions may include:
- Preparing to advocate for yourself within the medical system
- Postpartum planning session
- Pregnancy deep relaxation session
- Releasing fears
- Support network building
- Self-care and resource building
- Birth debrief
- Deep relaxation session
- Somatic processing
- Journaling
Some words from a client:
“I’ve been working with Caroline to overcome debilitating birth trauma and she has really helped me feel like myself again. Caroline is warm, friendly and understanding, making her very easy to talk to. She has taught me some great coping techniques that I’ve implemented into my daily life, and loads of creative ideas tailored to my interests to help me process my trauma. I would highly recommend her counselling services.”

About me and my therapy practice
Hi there,
My name is Caroline and I am a therapist for women. I have over a decade of experience supporting women to heal from stress, burnout, anxiety, people pleasing, low self esteem, and move from self criticism toward self compassion.
Starting therapy is a big and brave step. I’ve worked as a therapist for a long time, and I’ve also been a client myself, so I know just how nerve wracking it can feel to speak to someone new. I want you to know that your feelings are valid, and you are really worthy of support. Exploring therapy is a real act of self care.
I’m an integrative therapist and this means I have a number of different tools to pull from, I believe that the mind and body are connected and if it fits for the client use tools like meditation, breath work and journalling. I know that every client is an individual and their journey through therapy will be unique.
Practice description
My practice
In our sessions together, I will create a space where you feel safe, heard, and understood. We’ll explore your feelings, gently process trauma, and support your healing and wellbeing.
A core value of mine is holding a safe, compassionate, and empowering space for you. I really care about my clients and pride myself on building a trusting relationship so you feel comfortable sharing your problems, fears, and the parts of you that feel most vulnerable. If you’ve spent a lifetime shifting and changing yourself for fear of being too much or not enough, coming back to your true self can feel far away but it’s absolutely possible.
Through therapy, I’m here to support you to reconnect with your authentic self, to heal from stress, traumatic events, and move through life transitions so you can start feeling more like yourself again.
Here’s what some of my previous clients have said about working with me:
“Caroline is a brilliant therapist who brings great sensitivity, kindness and empathy to her practice”
“Caroline straight away put me at ease and made me feel safe and held. It was such a lovely experience to be able to talk and work through issues that have been holding me back.”
“Since being in therapy I value myself a lot more and I’m so much happier as a person. Genuinely it’s changed my life for the better and I’m so happy I did it”
My first session
It’s important that you find a therapist that feels like a really good fit for you so I offer a free 20 minute introductory call. This is an opportunity for us to have a casual chat where you can share a bit about what you’re moving through, ask me any questions and I can share how I can support you.
If you would like to book an introductory call drop me an email or use the contact form on my website and we will get that booked in for you.
Warmly,
Caroline
