About me and my therapy practice
As a senior Psychotherapist, and mental health practitioner with decades of first hands experiences working with NHS, CAMHS, Private Hospitals, Youth offending Teams, and different Bereavement agencies, my work is grounded in an integrative, anti -oppressive framework that prioritizes the therapeutic alliance to foster healing and growth.
My Practice is built on the belief that therapy should be a safe, inclusive, and empowering space where individuals feel heard and valued.
I utilize an integrative model, drawing upon different therapeutic modalities to tailor support to the specific developmental, cultural, and emotional needs of each client:
Person-Centred Therapy( Relational Focus):
I prioritize the therapeutic relationship as the vehicle for healing. By grounding my practice in core conditions of Empathy, Congruence, and unconditional positive regards.
Cognitive Behavior Therapy ( Structured Change)
I use evidence based CBT frameworks to help clients identify and challenge maladaptive thinking patterns and behaviors.
Trauma informed & Holistic Assessment
solution-focused brief therapy ( Strength Based Empowerment)
Systemic Approach
Practice description
My name is Patience Mbakadi and I am an MBACP Registered Accredited Psychotherapist.
I want to start by welcoming you and acknowledging the courage it takes to begin therapy. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, and my primary goal is to provide a safe, inclusive, non- judgmental and anti-oppressive space where you feel truly heard and valued, regardless of your background or identity.
What can you Expect from our work together?
My approach is integrative, meaning I draw on a range of methods to tailor our sessions to your unique needs. Rather than following a one- size-fits-all plan, I focus on the whole person.
Here is what that look like in Practice:

Different ways to express yourself
Professional, Ethical care
