About me and my therapy practice
I bring a calm, steady presence to my work with children and young people, shaped by many years of professional experience and the life perspective that comes from being both a parent and a grandparent. Young people feel safe to express themselves in ways that suit them—through talking, drawing, play, or creative tools—while I adapt my approach to their developmental stage, neurodiversity, and emotional needs. I work sensitively with parents, carers, and schools, keeping the young person’s voice at the centre and explaining things like confidentiality and safeguarding in simple, accessible language. My aim is to help children and young people feel understood and supported, while giving families the confidence that their child is in experienced, thoughtful hands.Practice description
I offer a warm blend of counselling and coaching for children and young people from the transition years of Year 6/7 right through their school/educational journey. My approach combines emotional support with practical tools to help them manage worries, friendships and school pressures. Sessions are creative, age‑appropriate and tailored to each child’s developmental stage, helping them feel understood, supported and more able to navigate whatever school life brings.
Sessions can also be held at home and/or walk and talk sessions.
This will be discussed at the first session.
My first session
Your first session is a relaxed, welcoming conversation with you as the parent or carer. It’s a chance to share what’s been going on for your child or young person and what you’re hoping for. I bring a steady, down‑to‑earth approach shaped by many years of experience — and by being both a parent and a grandparent — so families often tell me they feel at ease quickly.
We’ll talk about your child’s strengths, any challenges they’re facing, and the support already around them. I’ll explain how therapy works in simple, clear language, including confidentiality and safeguarding. Together, we’ll decide whether I’m the right fit and what the next steps might be.
This first session is about understanding your child and giving you space to feel heard and supported.

About me and my therapy practice
If you want support that’s focused and genuinely useful right now without signing up to courses of sessions. Then let's meet up and figure out what's making you doubt yourself....
My approach blends counselling and coaching in Single Session Therapy (SST) to help you focus and feel calmer to move forward. Many people come to me when they feel stuck or overwhelmed and want something practical, grounded and straight to the point.
Practice description
I’m an experienced integrative counsellor and coach with over 15 years’ practice across community, school and private settings. I offer a calm, safe space where you can pause, untangle what’s going on and make sense of things without pressure. My style is warm, down‑to‑earth and collaborative, helping you regain perspective and reconnect with your strengths so you can take steps that feel right for you.
Single Session Therapy is a key part of my work. It’s a one‑off, spacious and purposeful session where we focus on what matters most to you today. Many people find that one well‑held session gives them clarity or direction, while others choose short‑term counselling or coaching afterwards if they want more support.
I offer SST on Saturdays in Wrexham, with weekday appointments for counselling and coaching.
I work with adults and young people of all ages, in person and online. Whether you’re navigating stress, anxiety, life changes, relationship challenges or simply feeling stuck, you’re welcome to start with a Single Session and see what feels most helpful.
My first session
Your first session is a full, purposeful Single Session Therapy (SST) We go straight to the heart of what is going on for you right now, what you want help with, explore with you what’s happening and maybe why you are stuck!
We will work towards clarity, direction or a practical next step. Many people find one session enough; others choose further support if needed.
I offer support without long waiting lists, so your first session can happen quickly. Before we meet, I arrange a short telephone or online assessment to understand what’s brought you here, check what you’re hoping for and make sure the session is focused on what matters most to you. This isn’t a long or clinical process — just a calm, practical conversation to help you feel prepared and supported.
My fee for all sessions, including the first, is £60. Whether you choose a SST, counselling or coaching, you’ll know exactly what to expect and we’ll work together in a way that feels grounded, respectful and genuinely useful.
