About me and my therapy practice

An experienced therapist working with adults, offering a non judgemental, supportive, warm and pragmatic space to explore your inner world, make your unconscious drives conscious and your feelings more manageable.

Practice description

I’ve been working as a therapist for over ten years, I’m also qualified as a neuroscience based coach and teach Psychodynamic Counselling skills and theory. I now work exclusively over zoom.

I have experience working with depression, anxiety, OCD, addictions, bereavement, Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder.

At first therapy can often feel a little hard to make sense of, which can be a barrier for many people. Inclusion is important to me, so I work quite adaptively, enabling us to find a way to relate that’s both comfortable and effective for you. We’ll look at what’s going on for you now and we’ll explore your early experiences to help us understand the specific lens through which you experience the world. We’ll focus on your personal agency - working on helping you understand your own emotional world and then supporting you to make the changes you want or need to be happier. We’ll demystify it, so that when our work comes to an end, you’ll have developed the resources you need to understand and comfortably manage your feelings, to better cope and feel more emotionally fulfilled.

Sessions are weekly for 50 minutes and I offer time limited and open ended therapy.

My first session

There is no fee for the first session. We will have 60 minutes for you to tell me about yourself and what brings you to counselling. We will discuss the way that the counselling will work and decide together if we think this approach will be helpful to you.
