About me and my therapy practice
I am currently offering online appointments.
I have over 20 years’ experience working in mental health. Alongside my private practice offering therapy and supervision, I work at the University of Oxford in a number of roles, including student and staff counsellor, group facilitator, clinical supervisor, and service manager of the Specialist Mental Health and Neurodiversity Mentoring Service.
I trained in counselling and psychotherapy at Oxford University, specialising in the psychodynamic modality. In addition to my clinical training, I hold an ESRC-funded Master’s degree in the Sociology of Education, with a focus on diversity in higher education. I am also an Independent Member of fostering panels involved in the placement of children in care.
My practice is integrative and flexible, supporting people through short-term, proactive, and solution-focused approaches where appropriate, as well as offering long-term psychotherapy when deeper or ongoing work is indicated.
I work with adults across the age and gender spectrum, and have experience supporting people with a wide range of concerns, including men’s mental health and wellbeing, neurodivergent needs, and those who have experienced adversity or marginalisation.
I can provide:
Short- and long-term individual counselling for adults
Clinical supervision (individuals, pairs, and groups)
Specialist mentoring for students, with a focus on managing the demands of study and wellbeing in higher education
Practice description
I am a warm, engaging, experienced therapist who works to provide a safe and non-judgmental space to explore confidential issues troubling you. While I have a lot of experience working with students and staff in a university setting, I am equally experienced at working with a wide range of clients.
My first session
I charge for a no-obligation first meeting which will enable us to see if we feel comfortable working together.
