About me and my therapy practice

Online counselling appts available.

I believe counselling can help us to understand & process difficult feelings, survive & move on from painful life situations & past-hurts, build our sense of self-worth & help us to accept & value ourselves.

I'm a person-centred counsellor with over 16 years of NHS counselling experience. I've worked more generally in the health field for 30 years.

In my private practice I work with a wide range of issues linked to relationships, family, young people, LGBTQA+, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, stress, illness, loss & bereavement, sexual abuse & assault, & workplace issues.

As an NHS counsellor I specialise in sexuality, gender & sexual health.

I have experience of working with students within school & university counselling services & with carers within a carer’s support project. I have a depth of experience in working with all genders including working with young people & older adults.

I'm happy to take referrals from organisations. Please contact me if you would like more information.

"When the other person is hurting, confused, troubled, anxious, alienated, terrified; or when he or she is doubtful of self-worth, uncertain as to identity, then understanding is called for. The gentle and sensitive companionship of an empathic stance… provides illumination and healing. In such situations deep understanding is, I believe, the most precious gift one can give to another.” - Carl R. Rogers
