About me and my therapy practice
Hi, is Kaki here. I’m a BACP- and COSRT‑accredited therapist, EMDR practitioner, and group facilitator with more than 20 years’ experience supporting people through emotional, relational, and psychosexual challenges. I work with individuals, couples, and partnerships online across the UK and internationally, and I also offer in‑person sessions in Crystal Palace (SE19). Once a month, I run a psychosexual educational group in South East London.
My specialisms include psychosexual issues, relationship difficulties, and multicultural partnerships and marriages. I’m passionate about creating a space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported. My approach is warm, grounded, and collaborative—we explore things together at a pace that feels right for you.
I work integratively, drawing from different therapeutic models, but at the heart of my practice is meeting you as a human being. My work is inclusive, trauma‑informed, and LGBTQ+ affirming, and my background across Relate, Mind, the NHS, charities, and private practice has given me a deep understanding of diverse and multicultural experiences. Together, we look at how you’ve arrived where you are, where you want to be, and how we can shape that path in a way that feels meaningful and sustainable.
Practice description
My practice is an open door to human suffering and finding meaning in suffering. Where Individuals and couples/Partners come to see me for short-term, long-term, or time-limited.Or Soundboard Sessions. These are one-off reflective sessions for when you want to think something through. This could be to process a decision or direction or simply ordering your thinking. This is suitable for those who don’t need ongoing support or accountability but do need a clarifying conversation to help them take their next steps with clarity Here are some of the issues/difficulties people seek my support for
My first session
Every long journey begins with a single step, and for us, that step is a free 15 minute phone call. It’s simply a relaxed chat where we can say hello, talk about what you’re looking for, and arrange your first session if you’d like to go ahead.
Your first session—whether online or in person—is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s been going on for you, what’s brought you to therapy, and what you’re hoping to change or understand better. I’ll ask some gentle, structured questions to get a sense of your background and current challenges so I can shape a therapeutic plan that genuinely fits your needs.
The initial session lasts around 50 to 60 minutes and is offered at my standard rate: £80 for individuals and £110 for couples. We’ll also cover practical things like confidentiality, how often we might meet, and anything else you’d like to know.
There’s absolutely no pressure to continue after this first appointment. The aim is for you to feel informed, supported, and comfortable enough to decide whether ongoing therapy feels right for you.
