About me and my therapy practice
Are you or someone you care about exhausted by constant anxiety, hidden trauma, or disconnection in relationships?
The emotional weight we carry—from early childhood trauma and family estrangement to social panic—doesn't just live in our thoughts. It can affect the body too, leaving us feeling stuck, overwhelmed and constantly on high alert. You don't have to carry it alone.
As a Level 7 Relational Integrative Counsellor with 16 years’ experience working with adults, young people and parents, I am passionate about helping people find greater happiness, confidence and fulfilment.
I combine traditional compassionate talk therapy/Counselling with Solution Focused Hypnotherapy and Somatic Release, working with both mind and body. Our work is flexible and tailored to the approach you feel most comfortable with.
I love working across three connected areas:
- Healing the Past & Family Patterns: Processing childhood trauma, navigating family estrangement and gently breaking generational cycles.
- Calming Anxiety & Phobias: Supporting intense social anxiety, daily anxiety and specific phobias, including emetophobia (fear of vomiting).
- Conscious Parenting & SPACE Therapy: I am trained in SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions), developed by Dr Eli Lebowitz. I help parents understand their own triggers, reduce anxiety-driven patterns and build secure, resilient connections with their children—often without the child needing to attend therapy.
Our work is active, down-to-earth and at your pace. We may use Rewind Trauma Treatment to reduce the emotional intensity of painful memories, alongside somatic work to help you feel safer and more grounded in your body.
I welcome adults, teenagers and parents online via Zoom
I believe you are the expert on yourself and I will be there alongside you with compassion and respect, guiding and supporting you to discover the wisdom, strengths and resources already within you.
Practice description
My Background
I qualified as a Relational Integrative Counsellor in 2010, completing the BACP-accredited Postgraduate Diploma at Newport University, South Wales. My training is rooted in a Person-Centred and Integrative approach, incorporating elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
I am trained in Rewind Trauma Therapy (David Muss), supporting people affected by traumatic memories, including sexual or domestic abuse, bullying, road traffic accidents and sudden loss.
I am also trained in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, supporting anxiety, low mood, confidence and phobias with a specialism in social anxiety and emetophobia.
As a Parent Coach and SPACE practitioner (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions), developed by Eli Lebowitz at Yale, I support parents to reduce anxiety-driven behavioural patterns and help their children build confidence and independence.
I am also qualified as a Somatic Release Therapist, using a body-centred approach to help release trauma held within the body.
What to Expect from Our Sessions
Coming to therapy can feel vulnerable, so our first session focuses on helping you feel safe and heard. We work at your pace, with no pressure to explore painful memories before you feel ready.
Because I am a Relational Integrative Counsellor, Solution Focused Hypnotherapist and Parent Coach, our work can be tailored to you:
Counselling: A supportive space to talk, process experiences and navigate relationships, trauma and life challenges.
Hypnotherapy: A structured, forward-focused approach to calming the mind, building confidence and overcoming fears or phobias.
A blended approach: Where appropriate, we can combine counselling, hypnotherapy and parent support.
Our sessions are safe, collaborative, goal-focused and tailored to you, combining compassionate support with practical tools to help create meaningful change.
My first session
I welcome adults, teenagers and parents online via Zoom.
Taking the first step can feel daunting, so let's keep it simple: email me to arrange a free, gentle 15-minute phone consultation. We can chat about what your family is facing, and you can see if I feel like the right fit for you.
The first session is simply a gentle, low-pressure space for us to figure out the path forward together. We will start by looking over our working agreement so you know exactly how I protect your privacy and what to expect practically.
From there, the time is yours. I will listen deeply as you share what has been going on, what feels heaviest right now, and what you hope to change. If you have clear goals in mind, we can map them out. If everything feels like a tangled knot and you don't even know where to start, that is completely okay too—my job is to help you untangle it.
Above all, there is no performance required here. You don’t need to have the perfect words, and you won't be pushed to share anything you aren't ready to talk about. We will move at whatever pace feels safe for you.
