About me and my therapy practice

I work integratively, drawing on a range of psychological approaches including person-centred, psychodynamic, and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), depending on your unique needs and preferences. At the core of my practice is a belief in the power of the therapeutic relationship built on trust, authenticity and compassion as a vehicle for healing, self-awareness, and long-term change.

My approach is collaborative and non-judgemental. I see you as the expert in your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you, helping you explore the parts of your experience that may feel overwhelming, stuck, or unclear. I offer a safe space where you can speak freely and be heard without fear of judgement.

Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, loss, relationship difficulties, trauma, identity issues, or simply seeking to know yourself better – therapy can offer clarity and movement. I also work with those navigating burnout, addiction, self-esteem issues, or struggling to find direction or meaning in life.

Sessions are 60 minutes and can be short or long-term depending on what feels right for you. I also work with clients who want deeper exploration beyond symptom relief – those drawn to personal development, emotional integration, and building resilience from the inside out.

I’m committed to ongoing training and supervision to ensure I offer the best possible care. I also draw on insights from neuroscience and somatic awareness, understanding how past experiences are held in the body and can shape our present.

Ultimately, I believe healing comes not from being “fixed” but from being fully seen, heard, and understood. If you’re ready to take that next step, I’d be honoured to work with you.

Practice description

Welcome. My practice is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves the chance to be truly heard, understood, and supported without judgement. Whether you’re in crisis, feeling stuck, or simply want to better understand yourself, I offer a warm, confidential space where you can explore whatever’s going on in your world.

Clients often come to me experiencing anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, depression, trauma, or loss. Others feel disconnected, burnt out, or overwhelmed by life’s demands. Some are simply looking to grow, develop self-awareness, or make a meaningful change.

In our work together, I aim to meet you where you are. I won’t offer quick fixes or generic advice, but instead provide a space where we can explore what matters to you at your pace. You can expect me to listen deeply, reflect honestly, and support you in making sense of your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.

I work integratively, which means I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to suit your needs – this may include elements of person-centred therapy, CBT, psychodynamic theory, and body-based awareness. I’m also informed by up-to-date research in neuroscience, attachment, and trauma.

Sessions are typically weekly, lasting 50–60 minutes, and can be short-term or open-ended depending on your goals. I offer both in-person and online sessions, providing flexibility to suit your lifestyle and comfort.

I work with adults from a variety of backgrounds and always respect the uniqueness of each person’s journey. I’m here to offer consistent, compassionate support – a place to feel safe enough to be honest, vulnerable, and real.

If you’d like to talk about whether working together feels right for you, feel free to get in touch.

My first session

Your first session is an opportunity for us to meet, get a feel for each other, and explore what brings you to therapy. It’s completely normal to feel a bit uncertain or nervous  we’ll go at a pace that feels right for you.

In this session, I’ll invite you to share what you feel comfortable with whether that’s what’s been going on recently, something you’ve been carrying for a long time, or simply a sense that things aren’t quite right. There’s no pressure to go into anything you’re not ready to talk about.

The first session is also a space to ask any questions you may have about the process, how I work, or what therapy might look like for you going forward. I’ll explain key practicalities like confidentiality, cancellations, and what to expect in future sessions.

I don’t require you to complete a formal assessment, but we’ll have a conversation that helps me begin to understand your story, what you’re hoping for, and how I can best support you. If you do have preferences around structure, approaches, or goals, we can start to shape those together.

The first session is charged at the same rate as ongoing sessions unless we’ve agreed otherwise beforehand. However, I understand that cost can be a concern  I do offer a limited number of concessionary spaces, so please feel free to ask.

If, after the first session, you decide to continue, we’ll find a regular time that works for you and begin building our therapeutic relationship with consistency and care.

Ultimately, the first session is about connection. I believe the relationship between therapist and client is key – and I hope you’ll leave feeling heard, supported, and clearer about whether this is the right path for you.
