About me and my therapy practice
I am an accredited counsellor based in Bolton, with over 12 years’ experience working in private practice as well as within the voluntary and community sector. During this time, I have supported individuals with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, family difficulties, ADHD, low self-esteem, depression, relationship challenges, grief (including bereavement following suicide), infertility-related loss, burnout, and stress—among many others.
I am passionate about helping people navigate their difficulties, discover new perspectives, and reconnect with their strengths and sense of self. I offer both short-term and long-term support, depending on your individual needs and what feels right for you.
I provide a safe, calm, and comfortable space where you can speak openly and honestly without fear of judgement. This is your time - an opportunity to focus on yourself, to release what has been weighing on you, and to find greater clarity, understanding, and peace.
Practice description
Choosing the right therapist is incredibly important, as it’s essential that you feel comfortable and that we are a good fit. To support this, I offer a free, no-obligation 20-minute telephone or online consultation. This gives us the opportunity to get to know each other and for you to decide whether you would like to work with me.
If you are unsure whether therapy is right for you, I am always happy to talk this through and answer any questions you may have.
I offer flexibility in how often we meet. Some clients prefer weekly sessions, others fortnightly, and some choose to check in monthly. We can work together to find a schedule that suits both your availability and financial circumstances.
I attend regular supervision and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), working in accordance with their ethical framework.

Availability
I am currently available to take on new supervisees. I have limited availability in the evenings, Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings.
About me and my therapy practice
I offer clinical supervision to qualified and student counsellors. I have 12 years' experience as a Person-Centred therapist. I have worked within several Bolton services as a coordinator and mentor/supervisor for student counsellors at all stages of their learning and placement experience. I am the Clinical Lead at 1point Bolton and understand the expectations and requirements of working within an IAPT/NHS therapy service
I believe that supervision should support your own personal way of working and promote your individuality as a therapist. It is there to provide a safe space that is free of judgment that allows you to openly share and explore the highs and lows of your clinical work
Practice description
I work collaboratively with supervisees using the Hawkes and Shoet ‘Seven Eyed Model’ of Supervision - focusing on the seven aspects of the therapeutic process (Focus on the client, the interventions used, the client-therapist relationship, the therapists process, the therapist-supervisor relationship, supervisors process and the wider context of the work)
Working with the right supervisor is essential to your performance and development as a therapist. I offer a free 20-minute online consultation to get to get to know each other a little better and to get a feel for how we might work together
