About me and my therapy practice

Starting therapy can feel like a big step – especially if you’re used to holding things together on the outside. I offer a compassionate, collaborative space where you can begin to make sense of what's going on beneath the surface, at your own pace.

You might be seen as driven, capable, or successful – but inside, anxiety, overthinking, or self–doubt can make things harder than they need to be. Perhaps you find it difficult to switch off, feel stuck, or keep wondering why the same emotional loops repeat.

I’ve worked with many clients exploring how past experiences have shaped them – and how current internal processes, including ADHD traits, perfectionism, or self–criticism, may be influencing how they think or feel about themselves and how they relate to others.

Together, we can bring curiosity and thoughtful attention to these internal dynamics – creating space for new ways of relating to yourself and others.

This might include working with different 'parts' of yourself – aspects that hold strong feelings, critical voices, or protective strategies – not to fix or get rid of anything, but to listen with interest to what those parts may be trying to communicate.

Therapy offers the potential for a deeper understanding of yourself, and a kinder way of being with what you find – making space for greater fulfilment. If you’re feeling unsure where to begin, that’s okay too – you don’t need to have it all figured out.

If you feel ready to take the next step, you're very welcome to get in touch.

Practice description

In our work together, you can expect a calm, supportive presence. I won’t diagnose or analyse from a distance. Instead, I’ll listen with care, offer gentle challenge when helpful, and support you in exploring your experiences at your own pace.

My practice is grounded in humanistic therapy but I work integratively, meaning it is not one–size–fits–all: I’ll adapt to support your individuality, needs, and preferences. You may choose to talk, reflect, or explore ideas creatively. We’ll always discuss what feels right for you – it’s an invitation, never an expectation, to take part in anything that doesn’t feel comfortable. The therapeutic space is yours, and I’m here to walk alongside you.

Approaches

Humanistic therapy recognises the uniqueness of each person and supports self–directed growth. I believe each person has the capacity for growth, self–awareness, and transformation.

Person–centred principles – such as empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard – are central to how I build a safe, trusting relationship with clients.

Drawing from drama therapy, I bring creativity into the therapeutic space through exploring roles, which can be helpful in engaging with emotions, relationships, and inner experiences in an imaginative way – even in an online setting.

My practice is also parts–informed – which means I may gently invite you to explore different ‘parts’ of yourself and what each part is trying to communicate or protect, and the role it may have developed over time.

Gestalt therapy adds a focus on present–moment awareness and encourages exploration of the connection between thoughts, feelings, and body sensations. It’s particularly helpful for identifying patterns and deepening insight.

At the heart of my practice is compassion – creating a space where you can explore your experiences without judgement, feel seen and heard, and begin to grow in your own way. It’s also a space to gently cultivate self–compassion and deeper understanding.

My first session

The thought of a first session might feel daunting – maybe even a little scary. I aim to put you at ease by offering a warm, welcoming space where you can feel safe and comfortable with me.

I’ll invite you to share a little about what has brought you to therapy at this time, what you’re hoping for, and what you might like to explore or work towards. This gives us a starting point – but it doesn’t limit what we focus on. Your goals may shift and evolve over time, and we’ll regularly review the work together as it unfolds.
