About me and my therapy practice
I welcome each client as a unique individual and offer a safe, confidential space where they can speak openly about their challenges. My focus is on building a trusting relationship grounded in compassion, empathy, and non‑judgement, while honouring each person’s circumstances and lived experience.
My approach is holistic, working with mind, body, and spirit to support clients in restoring their health and wellbeing.
With more than fifteen years of experience working with adults, I have supported people facing a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, relationship and communication issues, low self‑worth, addictions, trauma, and abuse.
Practice description
I hold a Master’s degree in Personnel Development from Westminster University (2003) and a postgraduate diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Strathclyde University (2006). Since then, I’ve completed a wide range of additional training and certifications, including CBT, Mindfulness, trauma work, anger management, and approaches for anxiety and depression. I have also undertaken certified skills training with the Compassionate Mind Foundation, progressing through to advanced clinical skills in compassion‑focused therapy.
My therapeutic style is integrative, meaning I draw from a variety of approaches and tailor them to each client’s needs and preferences to support their wellbeing.
I offer both short‑term therapy to help navigate immediate challenges and longer‑term work aimed at understanding and addressing the deeper roots of ongoing difficulties. Sessions are available online or in person, and I provide a free 30‑minute introductory meeting.

About me and my therapy practice
As a supervisor, I aim to create a safe, supportive, and reflective space where supervisees can explore their clinical work openly and without judgement. I meet each supervisee as a unique individual, taking time to understand their personal style, strengths, and developmental needs. My approach is grounded in compassion, empathy, and respect, and I work collaboratively to build a trusting supervisory relationship that honours each person’s experience and professional journey.
My supervisory style is integrative, drawing on a range of therapeutic models—including CBT, mindfulness‑based approaches, trauma‑informed practice, and compassion‑focused therapy—to help supervisees deepen their understanding and broaden their clinical skills. I encourage holistic thinking, considering mind, body, and spirit, and support supervisees in developing their own authentic way of working with clients.
Practice description
With over fifteen years of experience as a therapist, I bring extensive knowledge of working with adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, communication difficulties, low self‑worth, addictions, trauma, and abuse. I use this experience to help supervisees reflect on complex cases, navigate ethical dilemmas, and strengthen their confidence and competence.
Whether a supervisee is newly qualified or more experienced, I aim to foster growth, resilience, and professional wellbeing. My intention is to support practitioners in delivering safe, effective, and compassionate therapy while also attending to their own self‑care and development.
