About me and my therapy practice
Counselling for Individuals in person, online, telephone and instant messaging. Call, email, text or Whatsapp for a no obligation chat.
Hello, I'm Sarah and welcome to Sarah Lemiech Counselling.
I am an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist. As an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, rather than staying with one model of counselling, I use a combination of models and approaches from different theories. I trained as an integrative therapist as I believe this means I can tailor your therapy to your specific needs. Together we can explore and reflect upon what you feel needs to change in your life. Together we can look at alternative ways of managing these thoughts, feelings and emotions, leading to greater self-knowledge and understanding of relationships not just with others, but importantly with yourself. Coming to counselling will be a rewarding and life changing experience, and I am always happy to discuss my approach and answer any questions you may have.
Fees:
Face to Face - £60 (55 minutes)
Online, Telephone, Instant Chat - £60 (55 minutes)
Practice description
I have worked as a Counsellor and Psychotherapist for the last 15 years, 8 years of those being my own private practice. My knowledge and skills have developed through my work in my private practice, as a bereavement counsellor and as a counsellor working with clients with physical disabilities. For me, there is always something new to learn from every client I meet and work with. I also have a commitment to regular on-going professional development and clinical supervision every month.
My first session
Coming into counselling can feel strange and anxiety provoking, and many people can feel nervous and emotional during their first session, and that is completely normal and to be expected, as this is all strange and new. But my aim in our first session, and all our sessions together is to help you to feel at ease, and feel that yes, this is something I can and do want to do with Sarah. I can make the changes I want for myself.
Your first session is our introductory meeting, after either a telephone assessment or an online one. This meeting is designed to allow us to start building a rapport, and for me to gather further background information. I will be focusing on understanding what has brought you to counselling now, but most importantly working at your pace, and you only sharing what you feel comfortable with.
I will be asking you questions about your current life, relationships and relevant past experiences to get a complete picture of your situation.
We will discuss what you hope to achieve through your therapy, and importantly, sometimes it is not always clear what you may want from your therapy, you just know you want support and help, and that is very OK.
The primary goal for me as your counsellor is that you feel safe, heard and comfortable not only in your first session, but in all your sessions.
