About me and my therapy practice
Counsellor, Nature-Based Therapist & Spiritual Life Coach
In this tumultuous world many are feeling incredibly lost, confused and anxious. My intention is to help people regain a sense of inner wellbeing, find peace of mind and access a deeper feeling of stability to navigate life.
I provide a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings and speak your truth. Sometimes it can be tricky talking to family and friends as they are usually emotionally involved.
People come to me with an array of circumstances and difficulties and usually are experiencing extreme emotions and overpowering thoughts. I often see clients who suffer from anxiety, depression and low self-esteem. They generally feel out of alignment with who they are and are overwhelmed.
I bring a wealth of life experience as well as extensive training and share varying cultural, predominantly Indigenous, perspectives relating to health, if appropriate.
I help you to explore what you are going through and guide you to re-discover your authentic self and what brings you joy. We also may look at old unhelpful beliefs and thought patterns and come up with fresh ideas and a different perspective so that you can experience a sense of relief and regain empowerment in your everyday life.
The sessions are tailored to meet your requirements using approaches from many therapeutic philosophies: person-centred heart-led talking therapy (whereby solutions naturally arise), creative arts & CBT activities, nature-based walk and talk therapy and mindfulness relaxation techniques. Spiritual life coaching may be combined if suitable for you. I am also a gong sound bath practitioner.
The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy has me as a registered, active member. I am properly insured and operate in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.
