About me and my therapy practice
Hi there,
I will tailor what I do to you, depending on your needs. I have a background in the corporate world and so I understand this environment. I work face to face and on line.
I start with what is happening ?
-Have you found that you feel anxious/panicked, low/depressed, angry, very stressed or overwhelmed?-Have you had to deal with an accumulation of difficulties in work, life or both or family issues recently?
-Are you feeling stuck or have you lost direction ? Or are you taking stock of your life/ identity at this point in some way? Mid life ? Retiring? Empty nesting?
How I work
I offer a FREE initial chat and a HALF PRICE first session.
I work with you to gently explore your issues, at your pace. It’s then about working through thoughts and feelings together to find coping strategies or clarity about how to move forwards.
I offer short term work, (a few weeks or months), where we often work on urgent problems.
I also do longer term psychotherapy work where we pay more attention to how the past has shaped you and seek deeper internal change.
People often describe me as warm and approachable. I will be looking to help you feel at ease.

My first session
I normally send some helpful information about what to expect from a first session. If the client wishes.
It's about getting to know each other and seeing if we would make a good partnership.
I usually try to get you talking as much as possible so I can start to hear why you are considering counselling now, what the issues are.
I offer a HALF PRICE first session.
I conduct a full assessment for counselling in the first session or two so I can deeply understand what is happening.
