About me and my therapy practice

Hello and welcome to Waddon Ponds Therapy Practice.

My name is Oye Agoro; I am a social justice allied BACP  accredited Integrative Intercultural Therapist with experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, and health and work-related issues.

Waddon Ponds is my private practice, offering professional, holistic, bespoke talking therapy. Depending on your needs, the treatment can be long-term or time-limited.

I have worked as a therapist for over 30 years, working with people from various backgrounds and with multiple difficulties to achieve the changes they desire successfully.

As an experienced therapist and supervisor, I have successfully managed several community and NHS therapy and social care services.

Practice description

Waddon Ponds Therapy Practice provides a safe, supportive and confidential space where you can explore any internal and external challenges you are experiencing and mindfully work towards positive change and personal fulfilment.

My therapeutic approach is Integrative. I draw on a range of skills, ideas, and theories to provide a unique blend of therapy for you.

As an Integrative Intercultural Therapist with a BA in Sociology and Social Anthropology, I respect diversity and have experience working with the impact and trauma caused by structural inequalities.

My first session

I offer a free initial telephone discussion of up to 15 minutes so we can get to know each other. This introduction meeting allows you to talk briefly about what brings you to therapy and see if you would feel comfortable having therapy with me. You can also ask any questions that you might have.

If appropriate, I would offer an initial consultation, which costs £65. During this consultation, I aim to identify and recommend the type and length of therapy that may be most beneficial for you.

About me and my therapy practice

Hello, and welcome to my supervision profile.

I offer one-to-one and group supervision and reflective practice for therapists and those working in supporting professions.

I am a BACP-accredited Integrative Intercultural Therapist and accredited supervisor of individuals and groups. I have 25 years of experience delivering clinical supervision and reflective practice in various community and NHS services. My experience includes supervision and reflective practice for Counsellors, Clinical Psychologists, Domestic Violence Support Workers and Advisors, Mental Health Service User Groups, Psychotherapists, and Trainee Therapists on placement.

I have also worked as a therapist and supervisor within organisations and my private practice and successfully managed several community and NHS therapy and social care services.

Practice description

My supervision work and facilitation of reflective practice are informed by my experience as a Social Justice-Allied Integrative Intercultural Therapist, which spans over thirty years.

Clinical supervision and reflective practice provide an important collaborative space for exploring and reflecting on our work with clients in a safe, confidential, supportive, and nonjudgmental setting.

My therapeutic approach is Integrative. I draw on various approaches and ideas when providing supervision, including Hawkins and Shohet’s seven-eye supervision model.
