About me and my therapy practice

Welcome — I’m Perry (she/her).

I’m a BACP Accredited therapist with over a decade of clinical experience, working with individuals, couples, young people and families. My approach is integrative, relational and systemic, and I aim to offer a collaborative and thoughtful space where different perspectives can be heard and understood.

My Background, Qualifications & Experience

I began practising in 2014 and hold a BA (Hons) in Integrative Relational Counselling from the University of Greenwich. I later completed a Post-Qualifying Certificate in Relational Couples Therapy with the Relate Institute and AFT-accredited postgraduate training in Systemic Practice at the Institute of Family Therapy.

I am currently in the final year of an MA in Systemic Psychotherapy with the Tavistock & Portman NHS Foundation Trust and the University of Essex. My systemic training has included a specialist Family Mental Health placement, and I am currently working within a specialist Feeding & Eating Disorders and ARFID service with children, young people and their families.

My wider professional experience includes primary care, complex CAMHS, health and end-of-life work, consultation to educational staff, therapeutic residential care/Looked After Children, Relate and community counselling services.

Practice description

Who I work with

I work with adults, young people, couples and families experiencing a range of emotional and relational difficulties, with particular interest and experience in neurodiversity, relationships and family difficulties, separation and co-parenting, blended families, domestic abuse and coercive control, identity and life transitions, cross-cultural relationships, and experiences of oppression and marginalisation.

When working with young people and families, I’m interested in everybody’s perspective rather than seeing one person as “the problem”. I aim to help families recognise stuck patterns and find more helpful ways of communicating and relating. I adapt therapy to different communication styles and needs.

My values

I am committed to inclusive and anti-oppressive practice and welcome people from all backgrounds, identities and family structures. I aim to offer a respectful, affirming space that considers both individual experience and wider social and cultural contexts.
