About me and my therapy practice

I have been running my own private practice since 2015, having formally worked in services specialising in bereavement, addiction and support for lgbtq+ communities.  My specialisms include abuse (specifically narcissistic abuse), addiction, gender, sexuality and kink.

I set up with the aim to provide a warm, non-pathologising therapy space that people could access without fear of judgment.  I take a modern, trauma informed approach to therapy, which is informed by not just my training but also my own lived experiences in music, performance and personal life.

I am accredited by the BACP as well as having an advanced accreditation from Pink Therapy in gender, sexuality and relationship diversities therapy.  I have been lucky enough to teach at various institutions and speak at events across Europe.

Practice description

My practice is currently based exclusively online and I work on a long term, ongoing basis.  Sessions take place on Zoom and last for 50 minutes.  I am a therapist who does challenge and will encourage you to work at depth, though all in a safe and aware manner, and at your pace. I believe that at the core of good therapy is the relationship and feeling safe.

My style is described as 'integrative', though I tend to lean most towards person-centered and psychodynamic.  This basically means that I believe it is you who holds the knowledge and expertise in yourself, and combining this with my learning, together we can unpack past events, belief systems and defense mechanisms and bring about change.

My first session

Your first session will be an initial consultation in which you can tell me a little about yourself and what you would like from therapy.  It is also and opportunity for you to get to know me a little and get a sense for how I work.  Like all sessions it would take place over zoom and last for 50 minutes.
