About me and my therapy practice
If you're carrying something from childhood that's never quite been put into words — abuse, neglect, a family history that got passed down without anyone naming it, or the particular disorientation of growing up between cultures or leaving one behind, I'd like to hear about it.
I've worked as a psychodynamic psychotherapist for 11 years, in private practice and across community mental health services in Islington, and I've been a registered BACP member since 2013. I work long-term with adults holding these kinds of histories: childhood trauma, including childhood sexual abuse, intergenerational patterns that show up without an obvious origin, and the layered experience of migration and cultural displacement. Working across diverse communities has shaped how closely I attend to the cultural context each person brings into the room. I work with clients in both English and Polish.
A lot of what brings people to this work was never fully witnessed the first time round. I try to offer that now, steadily, for as long as it takes. While much of my work is long-term and open-ended, I also work with people looking for more focused, shorter-term support, the pace is something we figure out together.
This isn't quick-fix work. I sit with complexity, contradiction, and the slow pace that real change tends to need.
My first session
Sessions begin with an initial assessment — around 50 minutes — to talk through what's brought you, how I work, and whether it's a good fit. My fee for the assessment and ongoing sessions is £90, in person or online.
