About me and my therapy practice

I am a psychodynamic counsellor/psychotherapist with a well established therapy practice online and by phone.

I previously worked in local mental health agencies, bereavement service, and online for EAP providers,

Quality therapy online/by phone is both convenient and effective, all the more if you are time short or unable to travel.

Your sessions will aim to relieve the immediate effects of what's bothering you so you start feeling better as soon as possible.

So I'll suggest resources you can try out to make immediate changes in daily life. These might include concepts from eg CBT, Mindfulness, and Internal Family Systems.

Another aim in your sessions will be to unravel what got you to this unwanted place and stuck here, so you can feel more ease in life and deeply better about yourself.

So we'll talk about your life events, your family and other relationships (sometimes including our own in the sessions).  This will help identify repeating patterns, and how they may still be affecting your present life.

We'll informally review and adjust the above approach from time to time.  In this way, it can cater for both what you find is useful from session to session, and for a wide variety of difficulties including eg anxiety, depression, stress, self sabotaging inner voice, and relationship disruptions.

Practice description

Your sessions will be by video call or phone, according to your preference. We'll confirm all the arrangements for this when we arrange the first session.

Sessions are 50 minutes.  Fees are £50.00/session.

Optional discount available after the first session: 5% reduction for 4 sessions when booked and paid in advance: £190.00.

To safeguard good practice as a member of the BACP I work within the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions and its professional conduct procedure.  Accordingly, I am fully insured, regularly supervised, Information Commissioner's Office registered, and DBS checked.
