About me and my therapy practice
If you’re experiencing challenges such as anxiety, depression, or feeling lost, I recognise how overwhelming it can be to navigate your way through these difficult experiences. Whether you're struggling with family dynamics, low self-esteem, or feeling disconnected from yourself or others, it can be hard to know where to begin. My aim is to offer a safe, non-judgemental space where you can freely express your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
My name is Tara, I have a Masters degree in Counsellor & Psychotherapy and have been providing therapy for individuals for over ten years. I am accredited with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and fully insured. I have provided therapy to individuals with a wide range of human experiences, including:
Anxiety, ADHD, Autism, Depression, People Pleasing, Body image, Relationships, Trauma, Bereavement, Work-related stress, Loss, Worry, Self Esteem, Burn out, Personal development, Family issues, Abusive relationships, Narcissistic abuse & Self-worth.

Over the last ten years I have worked in a variety of clinical settings which include working within a systemic family counselling service within the NHS, working within the NHS with disability & SEN, working with a specialist women’s service, working within a primary and secondary school, working for Priory Hospital and for several Higher Education services within the West Midlands.
Practice description
I offer online therapy through video and telephone counselling, providing you with the option to decide where you would feel most comfortable to carry out the session.
Sessions are 50 minutes and take place on a weekly basis at the same day/time as agreed in the initial session.
I offer short and long term work depending on your initial needs.
Ahead of arranging your first counselling session, you are free to send me an email to schedule an initial free 15-minute discussion over the phone. This can provide a great chance to get a shared initial idea of what you hope to work on, give you a sense of what it’s like to be with me and to ask any further questions about how I work.
