About me and my therapy practice
I believe that everyone deserves to feel heard, understood and valued, without judgement or expectations about who they should be.
As a person-centred counsellor, my approach is built on empathy, acceptance and genuine understanding. I aim to provide a warm, safe and supportive space where you can talk openly about your thoughts, feelings and experiences, at your own pace.
I recognise that everyone is different. We all have our own experiences, challenges, strengths and ways of seeing the world. Rather than telling you what to do or how you should feel, I work alongside you, helping you explore what matters to you and develop a deeper understanding of yourself.
Sometimes life can leave us feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, stuck or disconnected from who we are. Counselling can offer an opportunity to make sense of difficult experiences, explore emotions, recognise strengths and consider what moving forward might look like for you.
I believe we all have the capacity for growth, even during times when it can be difficult to recognise our own strengths or potential.
There is no pressure to have all the answers, know exactly what you want to talk about or make changes before you feel ready.
My role is to offer you compassion, understanding and a space where you can simply be yourself.
Practice description
I'm an experienced person-centred counsellor, qualified coach and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I have approximately 17 years' experience as a qualified counsellor and nearly 30 years working in Adult Social Care, including extensive management and leadership experience.
Throughout my career, I've supported people from many different backgrounds through challenges, change and difficult circumstances. My leadership experience has also given me an understanding of workplace pressures, managing people, making difficult decisions and balancing personal and professional responsibilities.
I believe this combination of experience brings a valuable perspective to my counselling practice, particularly when supporting people experiencing difficulties in their personal lives, professional roles or both.
I also hold a Level 5 qualification in Coaching. Although counselling and coaching are distinct approaches, both reflect my commitment to helping people recognise their strengths, understand themselves and explore opportunities for growth.
I founded Grasta Well-being CIC to create something rooted in compassion, acceptance and understanding. Somewhere people could feel welcomed, valued and supported without judgement.
I offer online counselling for adults aged 18 and over, providing a warm, confidential and supportive space to explore whatever matters to you.
Whether you're experiencing personal difficulties, navigating workplace pressures, facing life changes or feeling uncertain about what comes next, you're welcome to get in touch.
At Grasta Well-being, I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, recognise their strengths and discover their own way forward.
My first session
I offer a free introductory conversation of approximately 20 minutes before arranging your first counselling session.
This gives us an opportunity to talk about what has brought you to counselling, what you're hoping to gain from it and whether you feel comfortable working with me.
You're welcome to ask questions about my approach, how counselling works or anything else you'd like to know before making a decision.
There's no pressure to share more than you feel comfortable with, and no obligation to book a session afterwards.
If you decide to continue, we'll arrange your first counselling appointment at a mutually convenient time.
During our first session, we'll begin exploring what matters to you, discuss what you would like from counselling and agree how we can work together.
My aim is to help you feel comfortable, informed and supported from the very beginning.
