About me and my therapy practice
Reaching out for counselling can feel like a big step. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, questioning your direction, or simply know that something needs to change, I offer a space where you can explore whatever is on your mind without judgement.
My approach is rooted in person-centred counselling, which means I believe that you are the expert in your own life. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to work alongside you with empathy, honesty and curiosity as you make sense of your experiences and discover your own way forward.
Alongside this foundation, I draw on existential thinking, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Transactional Analysis (TA) and coaching approaches where they are helpful. This allows us to explore not only what has brought you to counselling, but also the bigger questions about meaning, identity, relationships, values and the life you want to create.
I believe that counselling should be both supportive and developmental. My aim is to create a relationship where you feel genuinely heard and accepted, whilst also helping you notice patterns, consider different perspectives and, when appropriate, gently challenging you in ways that encourage growth. I see challenge as part of care, always offered thoughtfully and at a pace that feels right for you.
People often come to counselling because they have spent a long time putting others first, feeling disconnected from themselves, or carrying worries alone. Together we can create space to slow down, understand what's happening beneath the surface, and find a way of moving forward that feels authentic and sustainable.
Practice description
I work exclusively online, offering sessions via secure video. Many people are surprised by how connected and effective online counselling can be. It provides the flexibility to access therapy from the comfort and privacy of your own space, wherever you are in the UK.
I work with adults aged 18+ and welcome clients from all backgrounds and life experiences.
My first session
Starting counselling can feel daunting, but you don't have to have everything figured out before you begin. If you're wondering whether we're the right fit, I'd be happy to arrange an initial conversation to answer any questions and help you decide whether working together feels right.Clients I work with
