About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced, compassionate, and reflective therapist who works from an integrative, relational, and creative framework, tailoring my approach to the unique needs, experiences, and goals of each person I work with. I believe that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process; rather, it is a collaborative journey in which you are the expert on your own life, and I bring understanding, therapeutic skill, and creative ways of working to support your growth, healing, and self-understanding.
My Therapeutic Approach
I work as an integrative therapist, which means I draw from a range of psychological theories and therapeutic models rather than adhering rigidly to one single approach. This allows me to respond flexibly and sensitively to your individual needs rather than expecting you to fit into a predetermined model of therapy.
My core influences include:
Person-centred therapy, which emphasises empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard.
Relational therapy, which recognises that healing often occurs within the therapeutic relationship itself.
Creative and expressive therapies, which allow for emotional exploration beyond words.
By weaving together these approaches, I can adapt my way of working to suit you rather than asking you to adapt to a rigid therapeutic style.
At the heart of my work is the belief that the therapeutic relationship itself is healing. I strive to be warm, authentic, and respectful in my interactions, offering you a space where you can be fully yourself without fear of criticism or rejection.
I see therapy as a partnership rather than something “done to” you. We will work together to understand your experiences, set goals if you wish, and reflect on what feels helpful or challenging in the process.
I am mindful that entering therapy can feel vulnerable. Many people worry about being judged, misunderstood, or dismissed. I take these concerns seriously and aim to create an environment where you feel genuinely accepted and valued.
Practice description
My practice is grounded in respect, curiosity, and acceptance. I aim to create a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can explore difficult thoughts, feelings, memories, and experiences at your own pace. Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or unsure of themselves. My role is to walk alongside you, helping you make sense of what you are experiencing while supporting you to develop greater emotional awareness, resilience, and a deeper connection with yourself and others.
Sessions typically take place weekly or fortnightly, depending on your needs. We can agree on the structure and length of therapy together, whether short-term focused work or longer-term exploratory therapy.
Some clients benefit from having clear goals, while others prefer a more open-ended reflective space. Both approaches are valid, and we can adapt as your needs change over time.
I am open to feedback throughout our work together. If something feels helpful, we can do more of it; if something feels uncomfortable or unhelpful, we can talk about it and adjust our approach.
If you are considering therapy, I invite you to reach out. Whether you are struggling with a specific issue or simply want a space to explore yourself more deeply, I am here to listen with care, respect, and genuine interest.
Therapy can be a powerful step towards understanding yourself, healing old wounds, and creating a life that feels more meaningful and aligned with who you truly are.
I would be honoured to walk alongside you on that journey.
My first session
I offer a free 30-minute introductory session to give you the opportunity to meet me, ask questions, and get a sense of whether my way of working feels right for you before making any commitment to ongoing therapy.
Taking the first step into therapy can feel daunting, and it is important that you feel comfortable, safe, and understood by the person you choose to work with. This introductory meeting is designed to remove some of that pressure and give you a chance to experience what therapy with me is like in a low-risk, supportive way.
During this session, you are welcome to share as much or as little as you wish about what has brought you to therapy. I will listen carefully, reflect back what I hear, and offer some gentle thoughts about how we might work together. You can also ask any practical questions about how I work, my approach, session structure, confidentiality, fees, or what to expect from therapy.
This initial conversation also allows both of us to assess whether we feel we would work well together. A strong therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors in successful therapy, and this meeting helps ensure that you feel a genuine sense of connection, trust, and safety with me before moving forward.
The benefits of this introductory session include:
Giving you space to explore your concerns without commitment
Helping you clarify what you might want from therapy
Allowing you to experience my style and presence as a therapist
Reducing anxiety or uncertainty about starting therapy
Supporting you to make an informed and confident decision about next steps
If, after this session, you decide that you would like to continue, we can then discuss how best to proceed together in a way that feels comfortable and supportive for you. If you feel that I am not the right fit, that is completely okay — I can also help signpost you to other options if needed.

About me and my therapy practice
Supervision is a professional relationship between me the supervisor and you the supervisee which will aid and help you as a counsellor or as a trainee, reflect on the different aspects within your therapeutic relationship with clients and with those outside of the therapy sessions that may impact your therapeutic work.
Supervision is an important role for our well-being and self-care because it gives us the opportunity to voice and discuss any concerns issues you may be having within the job role, client work, caseloads and any CPD courses you have attended or have looked at to aid your therapeutic work.
Exchanging information and discussing issues maintains good ethical standards and support within the workplace and as counsellors within our job role to work within our ethical guidelines. Supervision is an ethical requirement with membership bodies BACP/UKCP/NCPS.
Supervision is the time where we can monitor and strengthen your limits. It is not a form of attack it is a form of support don’t be afraid to voice your opinion you have a right to have your say.
Make the most of your supervision time see it as another form of CPD, Be prepared, have questions ready, list of your concerns, think of courses you would like to attend and discuss them and how they would aid your work performance as well as voicing areas you need extra support with.
I work within the CRAFTS MODEL OF SUPERVISION
This is a holistic approach to supervision which draws on elements from both Proctor’s Model and the Seven-Eyed Model. The CRAFTS model integrates creativity, reflective practice, focus, transformation and systemic thinking.

A distinctive aspect of my practice is my use of creative tools alongside traditional talking therapy. Creativity in therapy is not about being “artistic” or producing something impressive; rather, it is about using imaginative and expressive methods to access deeper emotional understanding.
Many people find that creativity helps them explore feelings that are hard to put into words. Sometimes emotions live in images, sensations, memories, or metaphors rather than clear sentences. Creative work can gently bypass defences, making it easier to connect with what is truly going on inside.
Depending on your preferences and comfort level, I may offer:
Art-based techniques, such as drawing, collage, or painting to represent feelings, relationships, or life experiences.
Symbol work, using objects, pictures, or images to explore inner conflicts, hopes, or fears.
Body awareness and mindfulness, to help you notice how emotions are experienced physically as well as mentally.
Journaling or reflective writing, encouraging you to process experiences between sessions.
You are always in control of whether or not to use creative tools. Sharing these tools with can help you to gain the confidence to be able to use within your own practice.
