I have run my own private practice since 2012 in London, Hampshire,   I am DBS checked.  My practice is now based in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).  As a member of BACP I adhere to the Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling & Psychotherapy.

My first session

Your first session is about establishing our therapeutic collaborative working alliance and building on this.  Being an integrative psychotherapist  means I have a client-centred approach to counselling; proving you an opportunity to develop a 'sense of self', supporting you to recognise  your own attitudes, feelings and behaviours; empowering you to find your own true positive 'self' and to reach your full potential.

I do this by creating a safe, stable, non-judgemental environment; communicating congruence (genuineness), empathy, and unconditional positive regard towards you.  The non-directive approach I use enables you to find your own solutions to your problems and concerns.

Confidentiality:  Our therapeutic relationship is built on trust; and is the foundation of gaining your trust and facilitating the therapeutic collaborative working alliance. The environment will always support you to feel seen, heard and listened to, to tell your story, for you are the expert.
