About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I'm Galia, and welcome to my page.

I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist holding a BA degree in Person-Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy. Alongside my private practice, I currently work within the NHS Talking Therapy, supporting clients experiencing a range of emotional and psychological difficulties.

I offer a warm, respectful and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about what may be troubling you. My approach is collaborative and person-centred, allowing us to work at a pace that feels right for you while exploring the experiences, thoughts and feelings that may be affecting your wellbeing.

I work with individuals who may be experiencing depression, low mood, anxiety, life transitions, relationship difficulties, trauma, or issues relating to self-esteem and identity.

I also offer couples therapy, supporting partners who may be experiencing conflict, communication difficulties, or emotional distance within their relationship.

Sessions are offered online and by telephone for individuals, and online for couples, allowing therapy to be accessible wherever you are based in the UK.

Practice description

People often come to therapy hoping the therapist will provide quick answers, remove the pain, or “fix” what feels broken. My approach is different. Therapy is not about giving advice or imposing solutions, but about creating a safe, empathic and non-judgemental space where you can explore what may feel painful, confusing or difficult in your life.

Together we can begin to understand how your experiences may have shaped the way you feel, think and relate to others. Sometimes this may include reflecting on past experiences, but therapy does not always require revisiting the past in detail. It can simply be a space to gently explore what you are experiencing in the present and what those feelings might be trying to communicate.

I believe that people already hold personal strengths and inner resources. My role is to support you in reconnecting with these strengths, understanding unhelpful patterns, and finding ways of responding to life’s challenges that feel more manageable.

There is no such thing as an insignificant problem. If something is causing distress, it matters and deserves care and attention.


Sessions are held online via secure video platform, allowing you to access therapy from the comfort and privacy of your own space.

​Sessions take place weekly at a regular time wherever possible, as consistency supports the therapeutic process.


My first session

The first session is an opportunity for us to meet and begin exploring what has brought you to therapy. You may wish to share what you are currently struggling with, what you hope to gain from therapy, and any background that feels relevant. There is no pressure to tell your whole story in one session — we will go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

I may ask some gentle questions to help me understand your experiences and how I may best support you. This session also allows us to see whether we feel comfortable working together and whether the approach I offer feels right for you.

The initial session lasts 50 minutes and is charged at the standard session fee.
