About me and my therapy practice

Are you a parent or young person struggling with overwhelm, anxiety, low mood, and/or navigating neurodivergence?

Perhaps you’re a parent feeling exhausted by the emotional demands of supporting a child with additional needs — navigating school anxiety, meltdowns, dysregulation, masking, judgement from others, and the constant sense of needing to hold everything together.

Or maybe you’re a young person (16+) feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, relationships, identity, academic pressure, or the uncertainty that can come with life changes.

I have particular experience supporting neurodivergent young people and parents of neurodivergent children, including autism, ADHD, sensory overwhelm, masking, burnout, and the emotional impact of feeling different or constantly needing to adapt.

I have nearly 20 years’ experience supporting young adults and parents across NHS, education, community settings, and private practice.

I offer online counselling for young people aged 16+ and adults across the UK, creating a calm, supportive, neuro-affirming space where you can talk openly, feel heard, and begin to make sense of your thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgement.

Online therapy can work particularly well for both parents and young people, offering flexibility around family life, education, and work, while also providing the comfort and safety of your own familiar environment.

I have specialist experience supporting:

• parents and carers of children with SEND

• neurodivergent young people

• anxiety, stress, and overwhelm

• depression and low mood

• school-related anxiety and emotional burnout

• low self-esteem and confidence

• life transitions and feeling stuck

After working with me, clients often say they feel calmer, more confident, more self-aware, and better able to cope with stress, relationships, and life’s challenges.

If you'd like to find out more, you're welcome to get in touch to arrange a free 15-minute phone call.

Practice description

My approach

My approach is person-centred, meaning I focus on building a safe, trusting relationship where you feel accepted and understood.

I won’t tell you what to do or try to “fix” you. Instead, I’ll work alongside you—listening carefully and offering reflections, insight, and gentle challenge to support your understanding and growth.

My work is also informed by polyvagal theory, which helps explain how the nervous system responds to stress. This can be helpful in understanding anxiety, overwhelm, or feeling shut down, and in finding ways to feel calmer and more regulated.

Inclusive and affirming practice

I offer a warm, non-judgemental, and inclusive space. I welcome clients of all ethnicities, genders, sexualities, faiths, abilities, and neurotypes.

I am committed to working in a respectful, affirming, and anti-oppressive way, recognising the impact of inequality and discrimination on mental health.

My first session

If you're considering counselling, you’re welcome to book a free 15-minute phone call. This is a relaxed, no-obligation conversation where you can ask questions and get a sense of whether working together feels right.

In our first full session, we’ll explore what’s brought you to counselling and what you’re hoping for.

What I can help with

ADD / ADHD, Adoption, AIDS/HIV, Anxiety, Autism spectrum, Bereavement, Cancer, Child related issues, Cultural issues, Depression, Disability, Health related issues, Identity issues, Infertility, LGBTQ+ counselling, Loss, Menopause, Neurodiversity, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Sexual identity, Sexuality, Spirituality, Stress, Women's issues, Work related issues
