About me and my therapy practice

Are you a parent or young person struggling with overwhelm, anxiety, low mood, and/or autism and ADHD-related challenges?

Perhaps you’re a parent feeling exhausted by the emotional weight of supporting a child with additional needs navigating school anxiety, meltdowns, dysregulation, masking, judgement from others, and the constant sense of needing to hold everything together, often while feeling judged or unseen yourself.

Or maybe you’re a young person (16+) finding it hard to keep up - with school or university, friendships, feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, working out who you are, feeling different and the exhausting effort of masking to just get through the day.

I offer online counselling for young people and adults across the UK. I have specialist experience supporting neurodivergent young people and parents of neurodivergent children. I work in a way that's neuro-affirming, non-judgemental and tailored to you.

Online therapy can work particularly well for both parents and young people, offering flexibility around family life, education, and work, while also providing the comfort, safety and privacy of your own familiar space.

I have particular experience supporting:

  • parents and carers of children with SEND
  • young people
  • anxiety, stress, and overwhelm
  • low mood and depression
  • low self-esteem and confidence
  • life changes and feeling stuck
  • school-related anxiety and emotional burnout.

Many clients say that after working with me they feel calmer, more confident,  better able to understand themselves, better able to cope with stress and life’s challenges - and that they feel less alone.

If any of this resonates, you're welcome to get in touch to arrange a free 15-minute phone call.

Practice description

My approach

My approach is person-centred, meaning I focus on building a safe, trusting relationship where you feel accepted and understood.

I won’t tell you what to do or try to “fix” you. Instead, I’ll work alongside you—listening carefully and offering reflections, insight, and gentle challenge to support your understanding and growth.

My work is also informed by polyvagal theory, which helps explain how the nervous system responds to stress. This can be helpful in understanding anxiety, overwhelm, or feeling shut down, and in finding ways to feel calmer and more regulated.

Inclusive and affirming practice

I offer a warm, non-judgemental, and inclusive space. I welcome clients of all ethnicities, genders, sexualities, faiths, abilities, and neurotypes.

I am committed to working in a respectful, affirming, and anti-oppressive way, recognising the impact of inequality and discrimination on mental health.

My first session

If you're considering counselling, you’re welcome to book a free 15-minute phone call. This is a relaxed, no-obligation conversation where you can ask questions and get a sense of whether working together feels right.

In our first full session, we’ll explore what’s brought you to counselling and what you’re hoping for.

What I can help with

ADD / ADHD, Adoption, AIDS/HIV, Anxiety, Autism spectrum, Bereavement, Cancer, Child related issues, Cultural issues, Depression, Disability, Health related issues, Identity issues, Infertility, LGBTQ+ counselling, Loss, Menopause, Neurodiversity, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Sexual identity, Sexuality, Spirituality, Stress, Women's issues, Work related issues
