I am Cigdem, a neurodivergent, multicultural, and bilingual therapist working in both English and Turkish.
I understand what it feels like to not quite fit in. If you feel stuck, isolated, or overwhelmed by life’s complexities, I offer a space where you will feel heard, safe, and free from judgment. Whether you need short-term practical tools or a deeper exploration of long-standing patterns, I am here to help you reconnect with your authentic self.
My Approach: Clinical Depth Meets Creative Wisdom
With over 27 years of experience, my work is relational, trauma-informed, and integrative. I believe that the body is our first and last home—it often expresses truths that words cannot reach.
As a lifelong student of dance (Flamenco), singing, and writing, I have learned that healing isn’t just something we think; it is something we feel, move, and live.
I draw on a diverse clinical toolkit tailored to you:
Evidence-Based: CBT, EMDR, and ACT.
Deep Exploration: Existential, Phenomenological, and Brief Dynamic Therapy.
Creative & Embodied: Movement, drama, and creative writing to process emotion through rhythm and breath.
How I Can Help

Professional Support: Clinical supervision, mentoring, training for practitioners.

Practice description
Most people seeking support for emotional or psychological distress are not experiencing internal “disorders” in any biologically demonstrable sense. Rather, they’re responding—naturally and understandably—to difficult life circumstances.
Whether the struggle involves relationships, work, addiction, or unresolved experiences from the past, emotional pain often reflects the weight of situations people have had to carry alone. Therapy offers a space to lay those burdens down, examine them safely, and understand how they have shaped your life.
My role is to provide a confidential, non-judgemental environment where you feel heard, understood, and accompanied as you explore what may be contributing to your distress. Through this process, you can begin to make meaningful, informed changes that feel right for you.
My first session
What to Expect in a First Session
The first session is primarily a conversation about you—why you’re considering therapy, what feels difficult at the moment, and what you’re hoping therapy might support you with. It’s also an opportunity for you to get a sense of me and how I work.
If you feel comfortable after this initial meeting, I will invite you to consider three further assessment sessions. This assessment phase allows us to explore your situation in more depth, to notice what emerges between us in the therapeutic relationship, and to understand what you want from the work. It’s also a crucial period for you to assess whether therapy feels right for you—and specifically whether I feel like the right therapist for you.
Moving Forward
If, after the assessment phase, we agree that it makes sense to continue, we’ll then discuss the form the work might take—short-term, long-term, or open-ended—depending on your needs and preferences.
My priority throughout is that you feel empowered, informed, and at ease with any decisions about beginning or continuing therapy.
I sometimes ask some forms (PHQ-9, GAD 7, EMDR Protocol or additional form used in NHS) to be filled for speciality modalities and measure and monitor the specific difficulties.
