I am currently taking new clients - couples or individuals. I work Mon - Fri 9:30am-7pm and Sunday afternoons 2pm-5pm. I work online, or by telephone (telephone option is for individuals only, couples must have counselling via online sessions).
About me and my therapy practice
I offer warm, friendly and confidential counselling, creating a safe and supportive space where you can talk openly without fear of judgement.
My approach is collaborative. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and together we can explore what's troubling you, identify patterns, and find ways forward that feel right for you.
I work with individuals and couples on issues such as anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, menopause, bereavement (including pet loss), and work-related challenges.
For couples, I focus on strengthening communication, rebuilding trust, and helping you reconnect with each other.
For individuals, I provide a space to help you understand your emotions more deeply, develop practical coping strategies, and build resilience.
I use an integrative approach, drawing from different counselling models to tailor sessions to your needs. This may involve exploring your thoughts and feelings, developing coping strategies, and gently challenging unhelpful patterns. My aim is to help you gain clarity, feel more in control, and move towards positive change at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Counselling can feel daunting to begin with, but it's a powerful step in taking care of your emotional wellbeing. Many clients find that having a neutral, non-judgemental space to talk things through allows them to see situations differently and discover new ways of coping.
If you're ready to make changes, or even if you're unsure whether counselling could help, I invite you to get in touch. I offer a free 15-minute consultation to answer any questions you have and to see whether I'm the right fit for you.
Practice description
I provide a safe, confidential and supportive space where you can talk openly about whatever is on your mind. I won't judge you or tell you what to do. Instead, I'll listen with empathy, help you explore your experiences, and support you in finding a way forward that feels right for you.
Every person's situation is unique, so I tailor my approach to your individual needs, drawing on different therapeutic approaches to help you feel understood and supported.
When working with couples, I focus on building clearer communication, improving connection, rebuilding trust where needed, and managing conflict in healthier ways. For individuals, counselling may involve understanding patterns of thoughts and behaviours, processing difficult emotions, and developing practical coping strategies for life's challenges.
I work in an integrative way, adapting sessions to what you need rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach. Some people come to counselling with a specific issue they want to work through, while others are looking for longer-term support or personal growth. We can review your needs together as therapy progresses.
As I work online, sessions give you the flexibility to access support from wherever you feel most comfortable.
You can expect me to be compassionate, reliable and respectful throughout our work together. My aim is to provide a calm, non-judgemental space where you feel safe enough to talk about what matters most to you. Together, we can work towards greater clarity, resilience and emotional wellbeing.
If you're considering counselling, please feel free to get in touch. I'd be happy to answer any questions and offer a free 15-minute consultation to help you decide whether working with me feels like the right step for you.
My first session
When you first get in touch, we can arrange a free 15-minute consultation. This is an opportunity for you to ask any questions, tell me a little about what has brought you to counselling, and decide whether you feel I'm the right fit for you.
If you decide to go ahead, I'll send you an assessment form before our first session. This helps me understand your situation, what you'd like to gain from counselling, and any important background information. It also gives you a chance to reflect on what you'd like to get from the counselling process.
During our first session, I'll explain how counselling works and go through my counselling agreement, including confidentiality, session length, fees, cancellations, and other practical information. I want you to feel clear about how we'll work together and comfortable asking any questions.
The rest of the session is about getting to know you. You'll be able to share what's brought you to counselling at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I'll listen with warmth, empathy, and without judgement, and together we'll begin to identify what you'd like to focus on in our work together.
My aim is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clear idea of how we can work together going forward.
