About me and my therapy practice
I am an integrative counsellor with over 25 years of experience working with adults and young people in a variety of settings, including education and youth services. I have extensive experience supporting young adults within educational environments and working with neurodivergent individuals. Alongside this, I hold a BA in Special Education Studies, which informs my inclusive, thoughtful, and understanding approach to counselling.
My practice is firmly client‑centred, with each session tailored to your individual needs. Rather than working from a single therapeutic model, I draw on a range of evidence‑based approaches to create a flexible and responsive way of working. This includes integrating Person‑Centred Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), allowing support to be shaped around what works best for you.
Together, we will work towards clear counselling goals, helping to keep you moving forward and supported throughout your counselling journey. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, low mood, life changes, or simply want a safe, non‑judgemental space to talk, our work together will be guided by your goals, your pace, and what feels most important to you.
Practice description
You’ll be offered a confidential, compassionate, and non‑judgemental space, with support that is flexible and carefully tailored to your individual needs. Sessions combine practical tools with thoughtful emotional insight, while always respecting your pace and personal preferences. All sessions are delivered via secure online video, allowing you to access support in a way that feels comfortable, safe, and convenient. My first session
I offer a free 15-minute consultation to help you decide if counselling is right for you. During this time, we’ll explore what you’re hoping to gain from the counselling journey, discuss your goals, and look at how I can best support you. It’s also a chance for you to ask any questions you may have about the process.
If you feel comfortable and ready to move forward, we can then arrange a session at a time that suits you.
For clients who find it helpful to manage payments, fortnightly sessions are an option, and I’m very happy to offer this flexibility.
