I provide specialist psychotherapy for people experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties and other emotional concerns.
My approach is active, engaged and focused on helping you create meaningful and lasting psychological change. Rather than simply helping you understand why you're struggling, we'll work together to identify and resolve the underlying issues that continue to maintain those difficulties.
I practise Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), a specialist form of psychotherapy designed to help people move beyond insight alone towards genuine and lasting change. While this approach can benefit anyone seeking therapy, it's particularly valued by people looking for a more in-depth approach or who feel previous therapy hasn't fully addressed the difficulties they're experiencing.
I offer online therapy across the UK and Europe, alongside in-person sessions in Nottingham.
About me and my therapy practice
Many people come to me because they feel stuck. You might have had therapy before, done lots of thinking, or read all the right things, but still find yourself repeating the same struggles.
In our sessions we focus on the real sticking point: what keeps pulling you back into the same loop, and what has to change for life to feel different. I’m active in the work and I’ll ask direct questions. We keep it grounded in what actually happens for you in day-to-day life and in relationships, not just talking about it in theory.
I work using ISTDP (Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy). In plain terms, it’s a focused approach that helps us get to the heart of what’s driving the problem, not just ways to manage it.
I offer sessions online across the UK and Europe, and in person in Nottingham.
Practice description
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, emotional overwhelm and other psychological concerns.
Many people come to therapy wanting more than ways to cope with their difficulties. They want to understand why they're struggling, resolve the issues that keep those difficulties going, and experience genuine change in their daily lives.
My work focuses on helping people identify and work through those underlying issues. Together, we'll develop a deeper understanding of what's happening while actively working towards lasting psychological change.
Alongside my specialist training in ISTDP, I have a background in psychodynamic psychotherapy and over 15 years of clinical experience across NHS, university and private settings.
If you're unsure whether I'm the right therapist for you, you're welcome to get in touch. A few lines about what's been happening and what you're hoping for is enough to start the conversation..
My first session
The first session is designed to help us understand not only the difficulties you're experiencing, but also the underlying issues that are driving them.
Together, we'll begin building a clear picture of why these difficulties have developed, what continues to maintain them, and what therapy will need to focus on to create meaningful and lasting change.
By the end of the session, you should have a clear understanding of your difficulties, how I believe we can approach them, and a plan for the work ahead.

About me and my therapy practice
I’m a psychotherapist and supervisor with full training backgrounds in both CBT and psychodynamic therapy, now specialising in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP). I provide supervision for therapists who want to work more dynamically and effectively, whatever their modality or stage of experience.
In my own training journey, discovering ISTDP was a turning point. It gave me practical tools to help clients achieve lasting change, and it continues to shape how I practise and supervise today.
My aim as a supervisor is to support you in developing confidence, clarity, and creativity in your clinical work. Supervision with me is a space to think through complex cases, refine your skills, and grow in your professional role, whether you’re new to supervision or already experienced.
Practice description
I offer clinical supervision with a focus on depth-oriented work and developing therapists’ confidence in handling complex clinical situations. I originally trained fully in both CBT and psychodynamic therapy before specialising in ISTDP, so I bring an understanding of different models and how they can be applied or integrated in practice.
My approach to supervision is collaborative, practical, and attuned to the challenges of therapeutic work. Whether you want to strengthen your technique, think through demanding cases, or reflect on your development as a practitioner, supervision provides a structured space to support your growth. I’m particularly interested in helping therapists refine their skills, gain clarity in their clinical decision-making, and build their own authentic way of working.
My first session
In our first supervision session, the focus is on understanding your practice, your current challenges, and what you want to gain from supervision. This initial meeting is charged at the standard rate and gives you the chance to experience my approach and see whether it feels like the right fit for your needs.
We’ll explore the areas you’d like support with, such as developing your skills, working through complex client presentations, or reflecting on your professional growth. If you’re new to ISTDP, we can also think together about how this approach might be helpful, but supervision is always tailored to your background, goals, and level of experience.
