About me and my therapy practice
I am a BACP accredited counsellor in private practice, with extensive experience. I offer sessions for your relationship and wellbeing needs.
Perhaps you're struggling with family difficulties, or stuck in unhelpful patterns with your partner, including the pain of separation or conflict and you're finding your current circumstance too much. Get in touch and we can set up a session together to start to unravel the difficulties.
Our relationships are such a big part of our lives. They naturally bring us challenges that cannot easily be ignored or pushed aside.
Our work together can provide a place to help with emotional distress, conflict and argument, anger, trust, esteem and confidence, connection and trauma, amongst many others issues. Unpacking some of the more difficult, complex feelings in a safe and supportive environment.
Sessions build on and help communication patterns, focusing on root cause and positive change. I specialise in how we relate and the feelings behind the behaviours.
Our work together will offer a range of techniques, drawing on my training in systemic family counselling, psycho-dynamic therapy, person-centred counselling, cognitive behavioural therapy and focusing-oriented psychotherapy.
How we work towards change is always different. Each individual, and relationship, finds its own way towards that positive change.
Ongoing sessions will be agreed following an initial session and agreement on suitability, availability and a needs/skills match.

About me and my therapy practice
Are you exhausted by the anxiety and overwhelm of difficult relationships? Perhaps you're feeling stuck in patterns you can’t seem to shift?
Maybe it's time for a change.
I am a Master’s degree qualified (Level 7) and British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) accredited counsellor and I offer experienced practise that helps with emotional and relational wellbeing.
Whether it's day-to-day connections or historical trauma-related struggles, I offer sessions to talk through difficult circumstances in the comfort of a professional and welcoming setting. I am an experienced and professional counsellor, trained to offer support face-to-face in Lincoln and online throughout the UK.
Our sessions can focus on (but are not restricted to) issues surrounding; anxiety, break-up, hurt, loss, betrayal, self confidence, rupture, power imbalance, emotional injury and much more. I specialise in communication and all the difficulties around connection, change, friendships, families and life stages.
I bring expertise, experience and specialise in trauma, with all this relationship. I believe in counselling as a process that it is rooted firmly in change, that needs an ethical framework and personal agency. You can be sure my practise meets the highest standards.
Everyone is welcome. In all forms of relationship(s). Please note that during our work I will keep checking in and sessions will only continue if I believe the work is in your best interest. Please see the terms & conditions for more on this.
Our work together can support you to build your own coping mechanisms and feelings of self-esteem. Many clients benefit from the work available for improving communication and connections.

Practice description
The sessions include an integrative form of counselling. This combines solution focused techniques with a person-centred approach and trauma therapy. This means our sessions will allow you to bring what you want, within the BACP ethical framework guidance.
As a counsellor trained in family systems, we can work with a focus on your relationships; be they family, friendships, work-related, intimate relationships, or all of the above.
Our sessions can help with relationship struggles, including the ones we have with ourselves and with others. These might involve; trauma, the pain of separation, conflict, loss, attachment, trust battles and injury, abuse, amongst many layers.
All our existence is relational. We get our sense of self through our relationships and how we interact with others and sometimes things go wrong.
My expertise offers support for communication and relational difficulties, along with other individual needs including; conflict, working through trauma, patterns and cycles of shame, repairing trust and finding a way out of dilemma.
To get the most from the work you do, I recommend regular sessions, at the same time each week, where possible. The time between sessions is as important as the sessions themselves.
All the support I offer links with our relational issues. Relationships naturally impacts all parts of our lives. We can talk about anything, any subject, any worry.
This might involve the relationships you have with yourself, with colleagues, with family members, friends or our most intimate relationships.
I'll offer a route towards positive change. Building a safe therapeutic relationship, to help turn towards changing and processing what troubles you most.
The work taps into your own capabilities, your own inner resources, so sets you up towards sustaining and continuing the change going forward.
My first session
You might come to the sessions experiencing a wide range of conflicting emotions.
An initial ongoing assessment session offers a chance to unravel these feelings and be sure what you’re looking for fits with my competencies and expertise.
In a first session, we simply talk through what has been happening recently. We can consider what has come before, in the past, what is happening now and/or how you’d like things to look in the future.
Our focus will be on how you’d like things to change.
We can contract our work with a clear vision of what will be most helpful to you, talk through what I can offer and what I will need from you in return.
Please note that following assessment, in some instances it may be necessary to suggest a referral to alternative counselling support, as best practise.
