About me and my therapy practice
About Me
I am a qualified counsellor, clinical supervisor, and safeguarding lead with a Master’s degree in Counselling. I bring both professional expertise and a depth of lived understanding to my work, particularly in supporting individuals navigating complex emotional, cultural, and relational experiences.
Over the years, I have worked extensively with people from diverse and marginalised communities, including women from ethnic minority backgrounds who may feel unseen, unheard, or overwhelmed by the pressures of family, culture, and society. I also support neurodivergent clients, including those with autism and ADHD, who may have felt misunderstood or unsupported in traditional settings.
I understand how difficult it can be to carry emotional pain in silence, especially when there are expectations to “keep going” or prioritise others above yourself.
I offer a calm, compassionate, and confidential space where you can begin to make sense of your experiences without fear of judgement. Whether you are coming to therapy for the first time or returning after previous support, I will meet you where you are with warmth, respect, and honesty.
Areas I Can Support You With
I have experience supporting clients with a wide range of concerns, including:
Anxiety, stress, and feeling overwhelmed
Depression and low mood
Trauma and unresolved emotional pain
Sexual abuse and its long-term emotional impact
Childhood trauma and abuse
Autism and ADHD (including late diagnosis, masking, and burnout)
Relationship difficulties and family dynamics
Cultural identity, belonging, and intergenerational challenges
Self-esteem, confidence, and self-worth
Burnout and emotional exhaustion
I understand that experiences such as sexual abuse or being neurodivergent in a world that may not always understand you can deeply affect your sense of safety, identity, and relationships.
You are not required to share anything before you feel ready therapy will move at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you.
Practice description
How I Work
My approach is primarily person-centred and integrative. This means I place you at the heart of the process, trusting that you are the expert of your own life, while gently supporting you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and patterns in a deeper way.
I work relationally, recognising that the therapeutic relationship itself can be a powerful space for healing, reflection, and growth.
I also adapt my approach to suit neurodivergent clients, including those with autism and ADHD. This may include working more flexibly, being mindful of communication styles, sensory needs, and pacing, and creating a space where you do not feel pressured to “fit” into a particular way of engaging.
Alongside this, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to support your individual needs, helping you to:
Understand and process difficult emotions
Explore patterns in relationships
Build self-awareness and confidence
Develop healthier coping strategies
Reconnect with your sense of self
I work at your pace. There is no pressure to “have it all figured out” therapy can simply be a place to pause, reflect, and begin to untangle what feels overwhelming.
In addition to counselling, I offer clinical supervision for counsellors and other helping professionals.
My supervision style is reflective, supportive, and ethically grounded. I aim to create a space where you can think openly about your client work, explore challenges, and develop both professionally and personally.
I have experience supporting practitioners working in complex settings, including trauma, safeguarding concerns, neurodivergent clients, and culturally diverse communities.

Taking the First Step
Reaching out for support can feel daunting, especially if you are used to managing everything on your own. You may not have the words yet, or you may feel unsure about what you need that’s completely okay.
I offer an initial conversation where we can explore what has brought you to therapy and whether I feel like the right fit for you. There is no obligation to continue this is simply a space for you to ask questions and get a sense of how I work.Clinical Supervision
