Practice description
Sometimes we know something isn't right long before we can explain it. We may feel anxious, disconnected, trapped in the same relationships, overwhelmed by self-doubt, or simply no longer like ourselves. The thoughts keep returning, our reactions don't make sense, and despite our best efforts, the same patterns repeat.
Therapy offers the opportunity to slow down and make sense of what has been difficult to put into words. Together, we can begin to understand how your experiences have shaped the way you think, feel, and relate to others. As those patterns become clearer, new possibilities for change begin to emerge.
Since 2006, I have worked with individuals and couples experiencing relationship difficulties, trauma, anxiety, emotional distress, and sexual concerns. My approach is warm, thoughtful, and non-judgemental, while also gently challenging you to explore aspects of yourself that may previously have felt out of reach.
I don't believe lasting change comes from quick fixes or advice alone. It comes from understanding yourself more deeply. Therapy puts words to feelings that might otherwise remain painful, confusing, or unresolved. You don't need to know exactly what's wrong before you begin. If something no longer feels right, that's enough.
You can discuss anything, including what might otherwise feel taboo. I have particular experience of working with the following issues;
A lack of self love or self compassion
Problems within relationships (Sex, Fidelity, Conflict)
Sexual desire discrepancies
Low Sexual Desire "Cant be bothered"
A difficulty in trusting others
Sexual Anxiety
Erectile Dysfunction
Feeling angry
Interest in kink, fetish and alternative relationship models
Thoughts that can't be got rid of
Putting other peoples needs, before your own.
A difficulty in getting things done
Problematic use of the internet
Burdening Relationships and Responsibilities

About me and my therapy practice
Since 2006 I have helped individuals and couples, work through complex emotions, traumatic experiences and unhelpful thought patterns. In doing so, the approach reduces feelings of inferiority, builds confidence and develops trust to do the right thing for you.
Reflecting how you are with others, and how they make you feel, can be revealing and bring about change, so you can feel more present and involved in your life. I work with a warm non-judgemental approach, whilst at the same time I may challenge you to explore your patterns and thinking, at a pace that works for you.
Therapy puts words to the feelings, that would otherwise remain painful or unresolved. Its ok to start therapy, without knowing exactly what's wrong.
Working together you'll gain a new outlook on your circumstances enabling you to;
Let go of past hurt
Make choices
Take charge of your life
