About me and my therapy practice
I believe that, as we move through life, our experiences shape us in ways that we may not always be fully aware. At times, these experiences can leave us feeling disconnected, uncertain or no longer quite ourselves.
At the same time, I hold the belief that within each person there remains an innate capacity for growth, healing and change. Even when life has felt difficult or disruptive, there is something within that continues to move towards wholeness.
My approach to counselling is grounded in offering a space where you can pause, reflect and begin to make sense of your experiences. Through exploring your thoughts, feelings and patterns, it becomes possible to understand yourself more fully and to notice how past experiences may be shaping your present.
As this understanding develops, patterns that once felt fixed can begin to shift. With greater awareness, there is the possibility of reconnecting with yourself, finding a clearer sense of direction and moving towards a way of living that feels more authentic and meaningful.
I see counselling not as a process of fixing, but as one of understanding – where, through a supportive and accepting relationship, change can begin to emerge naturally. At times life can feel difficult, confusing or overwhelming. Counselling offers a different kind of dialogue, one that allows you to explore your inner world in a safe and supportive environment. Through being heard, accepted and understood, you may begin to develop a deeper awareness of yourself. This increased understanding can support you in building confidence, gaining clarity and moving towards a more resourceful and satisfying way of living. It offers a space that is different from conversations with friends or family, where the focus remains entirely on you.
Practice description
Reaching out for support can feel like a significant step. You may be experiencing a difficult time, feeling overwhelmed, or seeking a better understanding of yourself and your life. Whatever has brought you here, you are welcome.
Counselling provides an opportunity to pause, reflect and explore what is happening in your life. It offers a space that is different from conversations with friends or family, where the focus remains entirely on you.
What I Offer
A safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and feel heard. My aim is to support you in making sense of your experiences and moving towards a way of living that feels more balanced and fulfilling.
Within this space, you can begin to understand your thoughts, feelings and patterns more clearly. This process can support you in developing greater self-awareness, building resilience and creating meaningful change.
I work with both individuals and couples, offering sessions online via Google Meet and FaceTime, as well as face-to-face where appropriate.

Whatever you are experiencing, you are welcome. You may be coming with something clear and defined, or something harder to name.

A final note
Human experience does not always fit into categories. Whatever feels important to you is valued here.
My first session
Counselling offers a space to pause and reflect. It is somewhere you can talk openly about yourself and your life, in confidence, and without fear of judgement. You are free to explore whatever feels important, even when it feels uncertain or hard to put into words.
During your first session, you will have the opportunity to talk about the reasons that have brought you to counselling and explore what you would like to achieve through the therapeutic process.
Through being heard and understood, you may begin to make more sense of your thoughts, feelings and experiences. This growing awareness can gently support you in finding a way forward that feels right for you.
My work is grounded in the Person-Centred Approach , based on the belief that each person holds an innate capacity for growth, healing and change. I do not direct or advise. Instead, I work alongside you, listening carefully and seeking to understand how things feel from your perspective.
I recognise that it can feel difficult to talk about personal experiences. I aim to bring warmth, empathy and sensitivity to each session, creating an environment where you feel safe enough to explore what matters most.
I see the relationship between counsellor and client as central to the therapeutic process. When you feel accepted and understood, it becomes easier to explore your inner world and begin to move forward in a way that feels more manageable and meaningful.
Counselling can support your emotional wellbeing, helping you develop self-awareness, improve communication, manage stress and find ways of coping that feel more supportive. It can also help you work through difficult emotions and life experiences, and build stronger, more fulfilling relationships.
Taking the first step can feel significant. For this reason, I offer the first half hour of the initial session free of charge, giving us the opportunity to meet and consider whether working together feels right for you.
