About me and my therapy practice
As a therapist with over 18 years of experience, I offer a safe, confidential, and compassionate space where you can talk openly about whatever is on your mind. Together, we will explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at a pace that feels right for you. My aim is to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, recognise your strengths and needs, and feel empowered to make choices that support your wellbeing.
Whether you are struggling with a specific issue, feeling overwhelmed by life's challenges, or simply looking for a space to reflect and make sense of your experiences, I will work alongside you with warmth, empathy, and respect.
My approach is person-centred, which means I believe you are the expert in your own life. Rather than directing or advising, I provide a supportive, accepting environment where you can explore what matters most to you and find your own way forward.
I offer face-to-face counselling for adults and young people aged 16 and over in Hall Green, Shirley, and Solihull. I also provide online counselling via Zoom, giving you the flexibility to access support from wherever you feel most comfortable.
If you would like to get in touch, I ask that initial contact is made by email, as I am often able to respond more quickly this way. We can then arrange an initial conversation to discuss what has brought you to counselling, answer any questions you may have, and consider whether we are the right fit to work together.
Practice description
As a person-centred therapist, I believe this approach can be beneficial for people from many different backgrounds who are facing a wide range of personal challenges. At the heart of person-centred counselling is the belief that you are the expert in your own life. Rather than directing the sessions or offering advice, I provide a safe, accepting, and non-judgemental environment where you are free to explore whatever feels important to you.
Many people value this approach because it allows them to guide the pace and focus of each session, giving them the time and space to reflect on their thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a way that feels comfortable and meaningful.
This non-directive style can be particularly helpful for those who want to understand themselves more deeply, recognise recurring patterns of thinking or behaviour, or make sense of difficult emotions and life experiences. Through a trusting therapeutic relationship built on empathy, acceptance, and authenticity, person-centred counselling encourages greater self-awareness, personal growth, and confidence in your own ability to make choices and find a way forward.
My first session
Following our initial contact, we will arrange a first session, which usually lasts between 50 minutes and one hour.
During this session, we will spend some time exploring what has brought you to counselling, what you hope to gain from therapy, and any questions or concerns you may have. This also gives us both the opportunity to get to know one another and consider whether we feel we are the right fit to work together.
If we decide to continue, we will discuss confidentiality and its limits, agree a clear counselling contract, and establish how we will work together moving forward.

About me and my therapy practice
I am a Person-Centred Counsellor and qualified Supervisor with over 18 years experience supporting people through a wide range of life's challenges. My background includes youth work, bereavement support, and working with neurodivergent clients. Alongside my established private counselling practice, I also offer professional supervision to qualified counsellors and counsellors in training.
As a supervisor, I aim to provide a safe, supportive, and collaborative space where you can reflect on your client work, explore ethical and professional issues, celebrate successes, and develop your practice with confidence. My approach is grounded in person-centred values, offering warmth, empathy, and respectful challenge to support your growth as a practitioner.
Practice description
As a qualified supervisor, I provide a safe, supportive, and confidential space where you can reflect on your client work, develop your practice, and receive professional supervision in accordance with the ethical framework of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I welcome both qualified counsellors and counselling students, offering supervision that is collaborative, reflective, and tailored to your individual needs. Whether you are newly qualified, an experienced counsellor, or currently in training, I offer supervision that encourages reflection, self-awareness, and professional development while maintaining the highest standards of ethical practice.
Sessions are available online or face-to-face.
My fee is £50 per hour, so £75.00 for 1.5 hours and I am pleased to offer a discounted student rate when availability permits.
My first session
The best way to get in touch initially is by email, and I will aim to respond as soon as possible. If you would prefer me to call you, please include your telephone number in your message and I will be happy to arrange a convenient time to speak.
Following our initial conversation, we can arrange an introductory meeting where you will have the opportunity to share more about your counselling practice, your supervision needs, and what you hope to gain from the supervisory relationship. Together, we can explore what you are looking for from supervision and discuss how I may be able to support your continued professional development.
I believe that choosing a Supervisor you feel comfortable with is an important part of developing as a safe, ethical, and reflective practitioner. The initial meeting is an opportunity for us both to get to know one another, consider how we might work together, and decide whether we can build a trusting, collaborative supervisory relationship.
