About me and my therapy practice

Supporting you to heal, grow, and reconnect with who you are.

“Sometimes the bravest and most important thing you can do is just show up.” – Brené Brown

Life brings many challenges that ask us to show up — but at times, those challenges can feel overwhelming.

Relationship breakdowns, bereavement, job loss, anxiety, depression, or simply a sense that something isn’t quite right. This can leave us feeling stuck, lost, or unsure of ourselves.

Often, we try and push difficult feelings away and hope they will pass.

But what if there were another way?

What if “showing up” meant gently turning towards your experiences — with curiosity rather than judgement and learning how to understand and support yourself through them?

We have thousands of thoughts each day, many of them repetitive. When we are struggling with low mood, anxiety, or self-doubt, these thoughts can begin to shape powerful and sometimes limiting beliefs about who we are and what we are capable of.

Therapy offers a space to pause and make sense of this.

A space where you can feel heard, explore your experiences, and begin to reconnect with yourself.

My aim is to provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental environment, where you can deepen your self-understanding and build resilience at your own pace.

Counselling and Psychotherapy can help you move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and self-compassion.

Practice description

I take an integrative approach to therapy, which means I tailor my work to your individual needs. This may include talking therapies as well as eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR), which is an evidence-based approach that can be particularly effective in working with trauma and distressing experiences.

My aim is to provide a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace.

I believe that, despite life’s challenges, we all have the capacity to better understand ourselves and change how we respond to difficult experiences. I have seen this both personally and professionally, and it underpins the way I work.

We do not always see the world as it is, but as we are.

My first session

This will include an introduction to the process, what to expect, and an initial assessment. This involves me asking some questions to get to know you and gain an understanding of your background.

Together, we will begin to identify areas where you may need support.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer clinical supervision for counsellors, psychotherapists, and trainees seeking a supportive and reflective space, to explore their practice.

Supervision is a collaborative process where we can explore client work, professional challenges, and your ongoing development.

I aim to create a space where you feel safe to bring whatever is on your mind—whether that is complex client material, ethical considerations, or your own responses to the work. Together, we focus on deepening understanding, supporting safe and ethical practice, and strengthening your confidence as a therapist.

Supervision is available either one to one or in groups.

According to the BACP:

  • Students and members who want the hours to count towards accreditation - now or in the future - must have a minimum of 1.5 hours of supervision a month.

Accredited and senior accredited members who are seeing clients must have a minimum of 1.5 hours of supervision a month.

Face to face and online supervision is available.
