About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m Khalid. I’m a qualified Humanistic Counsellor with extensive experience supporting children, young people, and adults across educational, community, and therapeutic settings.
My approach is warm, compassionate, and person-centred. I believe that everyone’s experiences are unique, and therapy works best when you feel safe, respected, and genuinely listened to. What brings you to counselling, and what you hope to gain from it, will be central to how we work together.
I offer a confidential, non-judgemental, and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. People come to therapy for many reasons — emotional distress, low self-esteem, anxiety, anger, relationship difficulties, or simply wanting to better understand themselves. Whatever you are facing, we will focus on what feels most important for you at this time.
Alongside my professional training, I bring a wealth of life experience, resilience, and cultural awareness. I have worked with diverse and multicultural communities throughout my career and understand how personal background, identity, and life circumstances can shape emotional wellbeing.
Practice description
I work using a Humanistic, person-centred approach. This means our sessions are led by you, with me offering empathic understanding, honesty, and respect. I won’t diagnose or direct you, but instead support you to develop insight, self-acceptance, and the confidence to find your own way forward.
I am committed to ethical practice, confidentiality, clear boundaries, and safeguarding, in line with professional standards.
