Practice description

My work is informed by a psychodynamic approach.

Psychodynamic counselling is a non-directive form of therapy, tailored to the individual, that goes deep to the root cause of emotional pain while remaining sensitive and respectful.

It looks at present and past experiences, perceptions, relationship dynamics, and unconscious processes to develop the understanding and meaning needed to facilitate growth and resilience.

My first session

When seeking counselling you are bound to have a number of questions, thoughts and feelings about the process.

To help you decide if counselling is right for you, I offer at least one initial session where we can explore your needs, reasons for seeking help and what you hope to gain from the experience.

During this time, you'll have the opportunity to ask questions and get a better understanding of the work and me, so you can decide if you’re comfortable to continue.
