About me and my therapy practice

Hi I'm Sharon

I’m a trauma-informed therapist specialising in relational trauma, including betrayal, emotionally unsafe relationships, and narcissistic abuse.

Many of the people I work with have left the relationship that hurt them, yet still feel its effects, second-guessing themselves, feeling on edge, or struggling to reconnect with who they are.

Often there’s a sense of knowing what happened, but not yet feeling settled.

My work supports those deeper layers. I work in a gentle, collaborative, and body-led way, using Brainspotting and parts-informed therapy to help experiences that haven’t yet had the space or safety to process.

Therapy with me isn’t about analysing or fixing yourself. It’s about creating the conditions where your nervous system can begin to soften, integrate, and move forward in its own time.

Alongside ongoing therapy, I also offer focused online trauma intensives for people who feel ready to dedicate time and attention to deeper healing.

We always begin with an initial consultation so we can think together about what support feels most appropriate for you.

I work online with adults across the UK.

Practice description

🌿 "To anyone thinking about starting this Brainspotting journey with Sharon, all I can say is just do it! The benefits are huge and it's time those of us who are affected by the past break free from it all and move forward with peace and happiness. Brainspotting is truly remarkable, and Sharon is an excellent guide. I can highly recommend it!"

~ Client experience

My trauma-informed approach draws on Polyvagal Theory, Somatic Practices, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), with Brainspotting at the heart of my work.

Evolved out of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) Brainspotting is a gentle, neuroscience based therapeutic approach that helps process and release what your body has been holding onto.

Talking therapy works mainly with the logical, thinking part of the brain, but trauma is not held there, which means talking alone is not always enough.

Brainspotting goes deeper - using focused eye position and mindful attunement to connect with the deeper part of the brain where these experiences live. Optional bi-lateral music can also be played to help your brain and body find calm and balance.

You can choose from:

90-minute sessions - These sessions allow space for deeper processing and opportunity for more progress.

A Therapy Intensive (3-hour sessions over 2 days, plus follow-up session) - Uninterrupted space for profound, extended processing, offering the opportunity for breakthroughs that might otherwise take weeks or months.

This is where your story can change, and it would be a privilege to be a part of that with you.

My first session

Free Clarity Call (20-minutes)

• This is a free-of-charge phone call that lasts approx 20 minutes. This is for us to talk about what you are experiencing, what you need and if sessions with me may be helpful for you. This call is purely informative, and not a therapeutic service.

• I will always endeavour to provide referral options for you if we decide that I am not the right fit for your needs.

Assessment/Intake Session (90-minutes)

• Your first full session is a 90-minute comprehensive assessment and intake, where we look at your experiences, hopes and goals in more depth.

• Priced slightly lower than my standard 90-minute sessions, it focuses on assessment, planning, and understanding your needs, before you begin full therapy.

• You get to share with me whatever feels comfortable, there is absolutely no pressure to talk about anything until you feel ready.

• Any assessment questionnaires and guidance on next steps are completed together, helping you feel supported and confident about moving forward in the way that works best for you.
