About me and my therapy practice

I am an Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist. My specialisms include working with Adults and Families, Children and Young People using trauma informed approaches and EMDR.

I have been practicing for over 20 years and I have provided therapy in settings such as GP surgeries, London Schools and The Family Court.

I practice in Poole and Burley where I work face to face or via online platforms. I welcome self-referrals from adults, parents and families and I am registered with insurance companies such as BUPA, Vitality, Aviva and Axa.

I use a trauma informed approach, and sometimes EMDR as experience has shown me that this is the best way to aid recovery from the physical and emotional consequences of difficult experiences. My work is aimed at improving your emotional and physical health so you can live in the moment and enjoy your life today.

I treat presentations such as family breakdown, C-PTSD, anxiety, depression and somatic disorders and I have a special interest and enhanced training in attachment focused therapy and helping, individuals, children, families feel better and recover from the physical and psychological impact of trauma.

I am also pleased to receive instructions from Social Care, Primary and Secondary schools and Family Courts and Cafcass in Dorset and Hampshire to whom I am able to provide Expert Witness Reports and clinical assessments.

I work with foster carers and can offer adoption support to adults. My Family Therapy is DDP informed (Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy), my practice is supervised by a DDP trainer consultant. DDP is an evidence-based, attachment focused, treatment that uses neuroscience and attachment theory to underpin practice.

You are welcome to contact me.
