About me and my therapy practice
Starting university or a new career can feel exciting at first—a chance to step out into the world and build your own life. But for many young adults, this stage can also bring anxiety, overwhelm, and a sense of uncertainty.
You might find yourself overthinking, comparing your life to others, or feeling pressure to have everything figured out. You may feel anxious, low in confidence, or unsure about who you are and where you’re heading.
Hi, I’m Zoe. I’m an integrative counsellor specialising in working with young adults experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, and life transitions. I offer a warm, supportive space where you can talk openly about what’s going on for you, without judgement.
I understand how challenging this stage of life can be. Alongside my own experience of anxiety as a younger adult, I’ve spent over 11 years supporting clients with issues such as anxiety, low self-esteem, feeling lost, and navigating early adulthood.
In our work together, we’ll gently explore your thoughts and feelings at your pace, helping you to make sense of what’s going on and find ways to feel more grounded and in control. Many clients find that counselling helps them feel less overwhelmed, more confident in themselves, and clearer about how they want to move forward.
If you’re looking for counselling for anxiety or support as a young adult, you’re very welcome to get in touch.
Practice description
I’m an experienced counsellor with over 20 years’ experience supporting people across health, education, and social care settings. Alongside this, I have a particular interest in working with young adults navigating the challenges of early adulthood.
This stage of life can bring uncertainty, pressure, and questions around identity, relationships, and direction. I often work with clients experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, low self-confidence, or feeling unsure about their next steps.
I work in an integrative way, which means I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches and tailor our work to suit you as an individual. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I aim to offer a way of working that feels supportive, relevant, and grounded in what you need.
If you’d like to get a sense of how I work, I offer a free 30-minute initial consultation. This gives us a chance to meet, talk through what’s bringing you to counselling, and explore how I might be able to support you.
I offer face-to-face sessions in and around central Bristol, as well as online counselling across the UK.
I hold a degree in Psychology from University College London and a Diploma in Counselling from the University of the West of England. I have also completed an Advanced Diploma in Supervision (including online) and offer supervision to other practitioners, both in person and online.
My first session
The initial consultation is a chance for us to meet and get a sense of whether working together feels right for you.
We’ll talk about what’s brought you to counselling and what you’re hoping for, at a pace that feels comfortable. I may ask a few gentle questions to understand more about your current situation, but there’s no pressure to share anything you’re not ready to.
I’ll also explain a bit more about how I work and you’re welcome to ask any questions—whether that’s about counselling in general or what sessions with me might be like.
We’ll spend some time discussing practical details too, such as session times and availability. By the end, you can decide whether you’d like to go ahead, with no obligation.

About me and my therapy practice
I am a Bristol based therapist and trainee supervisor, offering both online and face to face supervision.
I have been working in private practice as a therapist since 2015 and also have experience of working in schools and the NHS. I am an integrative practitioner and, whilst the core of my practice is person-centred, I draw on different approaches in my work depending on the needs of the individual. I have recently undertaken an Advanced Certificate in Clinical Supervision (including online supervision).
Supervision is a vital part of the work we do as therapists and it is important to me to create a safe, supportive relationship where you can feel comfortable sharing your challenges and successes and through which we can openly and honestly explore your work with clients and how this is impacting you.
I offer a free initial consultation to enable us to explore your practice values, what I can offer in more detail and the way we can work together.
Face to face session are charged at a rate of £45 per 60 minute session or £60 per 90 minute session.
Online sessions are charged at a rate of £40 per 60 minute session and £55 per 90 minute session.
