About me and my therapy practice
I am originally from Ireland has a Degree in Psychology from London and a Masters in Science in Counseling from Western Connecticut State University, USA .I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (FL), a Nationally Certified Counselor and an accredited member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). I am an International Addiction Counsellor and has Certifications in Clinical hypno-therapy and Deep Memory Processing (Regression), Eye movement Desensitization(EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance commitment therapy(ACT). I have studied with leading Dream Interpreters: Jeremy Taylor, Monty Ulman, and Robert Moss. I have also presented internationally and appeared on radio and local TV shows.
Working with clients is a priviledge and I do my best to produce quick results. I have a wealth of knowledge and skills and together we find the best techiques and tools to help assist clients meet their goals.
Practice description
My practice uses client centered Jungian approach. I offer unconditional positive regard, focusing on your strenghts and empowering you to move in the direction of your goals. I continue to find the right techniques and tools to help you make progress. I believe in your ability to make change.
My first session
I recommend that you complete intake paperwork. This includes information on the goals you would like to achieve and what maybe preventing you from achieving such goals. Previous history if any of attending therapy. Medical issues, if any.
On the first session (50 minutes), we discuss the completed paperwork and we continue to discuss information that may be relevant. We formulate goals for the upcoming sessions. If time permitts I will share coping tools for you to practise until the next session. All sessions are 50 minutes.
