About me and my therapy practice
If you've found your way here, something has probably brought you to a point where you're ready for things to feel different. Perhaps you're carrying the weight of a difficult experience that won't loosen its grip, however much time has passed. Perhaps anxiety, low mood, or a sense of being "stuck" has become part of your everyday life, and you're not quite sure why. Or perhaps you already know the moment things changed for you, and you're looking for a way to finally put it down.
Whatever has led you here, I want you to know this: you don't have to carry it alone, and you don't have to have all the answers before you reach out. That's what this work is for.
I'm an EMDR therapist based in East Preston, with over twenty-five years' experience and thousands of clinical hours behind me, including extensive work delivering psychological therapy within NHS settings. I am both BACP and EMDR registered and accredited, working with PTSD, trauma, anxiety, and depression. I'm currently a Europe EMDR Consultant in Training, which means alongside my client work, I also supervise other EMDR practitioners — so this approach isn't just something I offer, it's something I think about deeply, keep learning from, and genuinely believe in.
Over the years, I've had the privilege of witnessing how effective therapy can transform people's lives — and watching people become empowered to make healthy changes is, for me, what this work is all about. I am committed to supporting you to change your life around.

My first session
Your First Session: What to Expect
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it's natural to feel a mix of nerves and relief. There's no need to prepare or rehearse — your first session is simply a starting point, a chance to get to know one another and see if working together feels right.
What's an assessment session?
Your first session is what's known as an assessment — standard practice before any therapeutic work begins. Rather than diving into EMDR straight away, it's about building an honest picture of you: your history, your current difficulties, and what you're hoping therapy can help with. Think of it as a conversation with a purpose, not a test.
What we'll cover
What's brought you to therapy now, and how it's affecting daily life
Relevant background history — you only share what feels comfortable
Your current circumstances and support network
Any previous therapy and what did or didn't help
Routine questions around wellbeing and safety
What change might look like for you
I'll also explain how I work, what EMDR involves, and answer any questions about confidentiality, frequency, or fees.
No pressure to get it "right"
Some people arrive with a clear story; others find it hard to know where to start. Both are fine — I'm listening for what matters to you, and there's plenty of time for the fuller picture to emerge. If something feels too difficult, you can simply say so; you're always in control of what you share.
What happens afterwards
By the end, we'll usually have a sense of whether EMDR feels like the right approach, sometimes straight away, sometimes after a session or two more. It's a two-way process — you're free to ask questions and decide honestly if it feels like a good fit. Trust and safety are built together, starting here.

I work with adults 18+. Whilst completing my EMDR Consultant in Training, I'm offering three free sessions for EMDR Practitioners. See below
EMDR Supervision: Grow Your Practice, Sharpen Your Skills
Are you looking to deepen your EMDR practice with supervision that's supportive, structured, and genuinely developmental? As a Europe EMDR Consultant in Training, I'm currently offering three free supervision sessions — a great opportunity to experience consultant-level supervision at no cost while I complete my training.
How I work with supervisees
As a Consultant in Training, I offer supervision in the way EMDR consultants typically do: reviewing case conceptualisation, checking fidelity to the standard eight-phase protocol, troubleshooting stuck processing, and supporting your clinical confidence and safe practice. Sessions are collaborative and practical — a space to bring real cases, ask questions, and refine your skills alongside a supervisor invested in your growth. It's also a great time to brush up on the standard protocol and ensure your practice stays sharp and protocol-adherent.
What's on offer
Group Supervision — three free sessions
On a Thursday evening, 7:00–9:00 pm, starting on the 8th of October.
A supportive group space to bring cases, learn from peers, and deepen your protocol knowledge.
1:1 Supervision — three free sessions
Time to be arranged
Focused, individual supervision tailored to your caseload and development needs.
Please note: sessions are recorded as part of my consultant training requirements. Recordings are shared only with my supervisor and are not used for any other purpose.
Spaces are limited, so please get in touch to book your free sessions.
