About me and my therapy practice
Change happens throughout our lives. Some changes we embrace and some are more hard to manage. Some we choose, some we have no choice over. Some we know we want to make and just don’t know where to start. Sometimes making the change means making sense of things in the past and finding a new way to move forwards.
If you are feeling that you need to make a change and need some space to work it out please get in touch. If something in your life has changed in a way you weren’t expecting/ready for (a bereavement, redundancy, end of a relationship) and you need somewhere safe to work out how you feel about it and what this means for your life, I provide a space for this. Sometimes we are aware a change needs to happen from within. A new self-understanding, exploring our identity, working out how we want our future to be. We can examine all of these things together in counselling.
If you need some help with change I would be really happy to hear from you. I have a wealth of experience of counselling people going through life transitions from moving out of home for the first time or embarking on a new career to losing a significant relationship which means the need to find a new way of living. These changes can be hard and I can provide you the support you need to work through them. I offer a warm, safe, confidential space, away from your day-to-day life, to focus on and explore difficulties that might be holding you back from living the life that you want to.
I work with adults and young adults both online (offering Google meet appointments) and also in-person in a therapy room in Malvern Link, Worcestershire.
Practice description
I am a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor. Although I am predominantly person-centred in my approach, I incorporate elements of CBT and solution focused strategies, alongside other modalities I have trained in, into my work to match how you process your experiences and how you prefer to communicate.
I meet and see each of my clients as unique and individual. My aim is to learn who you are, how you make sense of the world and what you want to work on. It is rare we get the chance to share our story with someone who is completely focused on us and our personal goals. This is where self-understanding can be achieved and healing can happen.
I have experience of offering brief support, time-limited support as well as longer term counselling.
