About me and my therapy practice

I am a humanistic counsellor with over 15 years of experience counselling people who are faced with, or are wanting to make, significant change in their lives'.

I have extensive experience supporting people through life transitions: leaving home, starting a new career, coping with the loss of a significant relationship, bereavement, redundancy, relationship difficulties, or identity changes. I provide a confidential space where you can explore your feelings and consider what these changes mean for your life. My aim is to provide a warm and safe counselling environment, away from daily distractions, giving you space to focus on what matters most to you.

I also work with people who know they want to make a change but feel unsure where to start. Often, moving forward means making sense of the past and finding new ways to live. Feelings of anxiety or low mood might tell us that we need to find a new way of being in the world. Big life events can also prompt us to experience strong emotions which we aren't always able to share with those closest to us, so having external help can be incredibly beneficial.

Sometimes, change begins from within—seeking self-understanding, exploring identity, or working out how you want your future to look. Together, we can explore these themes in counselling and work towards a greater sense of clarity and direction.

I work with adults offering both online therapy sessions (via Google Meet) and in-person counselling in Malvern Link, Worcestershire.

Practice description

I am a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor, with a predominantly person-centred approach. I also incorporate elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) (most recently including training on ERP for OCD presentations) and Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT), alongside other therapeutic modalities I have trained in. This allows me to tailor counselling to your individual needs, preferences, and ways of processing experiences.

I view each client as unique and work to understand your perspective, your story, and the goals you want to achieve. Counselling offers a rare chance to be truly heard by someone who is focused entirely on you. Through this process, self-understanding can grow and meaningful healing can take place.

I offer both brief, time-limited counselling and longer-term therapy, depending on your needs.

My first session

Finding the right counsellor is an important step. To help you decide, I offer a free 15-minute initial telephone consultation, giving you the chance to ask questions and see whether I may be the right therapist for you.

If you feel ready to begin, you can also book a full first session directly by email or via the contact page on my website.

First sessions last 50 minutes and provide an opportunity to discuss your goals, explore your needs, and make a plan for our work together.
