Practice description

Having previously worked in the Social work sector, I have extensive experience of working with people from different backgrounds & social circumstances, I am committed to therapeutically supporting people to recognise, attend & meet their own needs holistically.  I am experienced in working with people who have difficult family dynamics including attachment & abandonment as well as survivors of abuse in all its forms. I have a keen interest & knowledge of the effects of social injustice, using an intersectional lens to recognise & explore your relationship with systems of power to understand & identify how this may have impacted you.  I seek to understand your inner thoughts ,feelings & conflicts whilst supporting you to unlearn unhealthy coping strategies, regulate & manage your emotions to find healthier, more fulfilling ways of relating to your inner & outer world.

I have worked in the charity sector for the last decade previously providing counselling for Domestic abuse survivors, marginalised communities struggling with identity & self acceptance as well as counselling in education settings. I currently work with adults & young people on a variety of issues.
