About me and my therapy practice
I am a psychodynamic counsellor who works with adults and young adults. I will provide you with a safe and confidential environment where we can work together to help you make sense of your emotional world. I am open and honest, completely non-judgemental, and I take into account every client's individual needs.
My psychodynamic training means that I help clients think about aspects of their past which may be influencing how they think and behave in the present. I have a deep understanding of human emotional development which comes from many years of working with children and young adults, and this helps me in understanding the roots of your emotional difficulties.
I help clients with issues including depression and anxiety, eating disorder, self-harm, stress, bereavement, grief, health-related issues and low self-esteem.
Practice description
I see clients once a week, at the same time and on the same day of the week, for 50 minutes. After the first session I discuss with clients whether they would prefer to work in a time-limited way or to choose open-ended work, which makes up the majority of my practice.
